As the 4x100m freestyle relay team were making their way off the pool deck in Paris, Bob Ballard said they were "finishing up", adding "you know what women are like... hanging around, doing their make up".

Well in the modern media age the comment was never getting by without him being piled on.
It is a stereotype unaccetable to use on global telly, not all women take ages doing their make up and their hair,


just most of them ;-)

was watching the news other day where they had cleaned it up and tested the levels that were showing safe, but then I am sure people are polluting it every day so a few days cleaning it won't stop it going to pot again

Athletics, like swimming must be the most boring events in the olympics imho

I expect the ancient greeks would have loved bmx and skateboarding

I'm not Greek myself but I enjoyed some Swiss bird in the beach volleyball I was watching earlier. Mind you, I think the ancient Greeks would've enjoyed the male beach volleyball too.
