No because he has been our manager for the last 8 years and you hear and see how he operates and behaves in public.
Yes, and one thing we all know is he doesn’t hang around if he doesn’t trust and feel comfortable in any situation. He may have liked this player or that, he might also fully understand and be on board for whatever reasons we haven’t moved for those players, when those reasons were explained . We are all guessing and putting our own prejudices on those guesses.

Next summer transfer window, if Ipswich go down they are going to get raided. That Jacob Greaves is so similar to Stones and Leif Davis is a very good defender

while all of the above is indeed true the other side of that coin is that the knowledge you have of his less public persona is what the press has told you so once again do you believe what they say, all im saying is what you are putting forward is confirmation bias because of how you perceive the current state of the squad and you want to be right over what pep says.

Im not saying you are wrong in some parts of where we are as a squad but if he says he is happy to go then ill go with that and tbf i would like to give youth a chance, is o'reilly ready to go 100% now but how is any player going to breakthrough like bobb, lewis and foden if we sign a 100m backup option.
With the way the club have backed him previously and given him everything he could possibly need he knows to appreciate and respect just that.

We are all guessing what goes on behind closed doors, no one knows, not the so called ITK, not anyone.

We will see this week but I have to say I would be amazed if we are going as we are, yes we will compete for titles but I think it will be very, very difficult to achieve the PL or CL this season.

We were way ahead in terms of squad depth and quality but for me many have caught or are catching up.

In saying that I would NEVER doubt our players to go and win more titles, their hunger and desire is incredible.

I appreciate Alvarez contribution. I cannot recall what Alvarez did vs Arsenal or Real Madrid during his time here except the fourth goal at 4-0 Real. So I don't really see how it will affect us competing with Arsenal or Real.

Actually I think he was quite poor vs Arsenal away last season. And it made the midfield a total mess when pep insisted starting Halaand and Alvarez together vs decent teams. Recalling last season lose to Real I think a traditional striker with good header would help to gain from those corners. Not Alvarez game.

I agree CM situation is an issue.
He was a vital part of the squad particularly early season when KDB was injured then Haaland, take his goals and assists out we don't win the title.

As said Bobbs injury is a huge blow, he could have been the one to replace those goals/assists.

Do we need Gundo to leave Barcelona for them to stump up the cash for Cancelo ? That could be the catalyst for us getting someone in

Not sure they do, think they need to get rid of player(s) to register those they have. Not sure getting one out and one in helps. But not sure really.

alvarez was excellent goals and assists whilst kev was out, id put money kev would of created more and chipped in with a few as well,so we haven't lost anything really, i really liked the lad,

However 50 appearances last season in the league, champions league, and both cups ,he scored 17 goals , which isn't too shabby and assisted 12 times, (29 goal involvements)kev would of got that in the 5 months he missed.

With him going we are missing a body, not his goals and assists, but imo kev, oscar bobb and savinho will make up for and some.

once again that is your opinion and your mentality that wasnt what i was arguing , what i said was that if pep says he is happy with what he has got and wants to get with that, it is your issues and your opinion you want resolving not peps.
Pep is also a world-class bullshitter. I don’t begrudge him that because not everything he thinks needs to be public business, but he says things he doesn’t believe all the time. It’s not a stretch to think that he could privately be very frustrated.

Yes, compared to this time last year we’ve lost Alvarez, who was good Haaland back up but KDB not so much.but that’s all.
On the positive side we start with a fit KDB, added Savinho,he’s out for 3 months but Bobb looks like he’s kicked on,with the wing options Bernardo ,Foden free to play more centrally when needed.Doku, Gvardiol, Kovacic a year under their belts Plus Peps had a summer to think about how best to cope without Rodri.
For me on balance we start stronger than we started last season ,even if we buy nobody but think we’ll bring 1 in.

He has said at the start pre season it’s necessary to refresh with a couple of new faces every season and has now also lost Alvarez who was a more than able player in the squad and Bobb to a pretty long injury? He wanted Paqueta in this summer if cleared which he isn’t as well so there were plans to do that and also wanted Bruno G so it’s obvious he wants changes?

That may have been true at the end of last season we don’t reallly know. Things might have changed over the summer and if they have we can’t know what the reasons are for that. Pep will be part of those decisions though and probably be on board with them, they won’t go behind his back.
