The answer lies in what strategists call "low information voters'".How the fuck is Trump still ahead on the economy after inheriting a great economy from Obama then adding trillions to the public debt and doing literally nothing positive in his four years except create a time bomb for Biden’s administration to sort out.
The only issue that has some basis in truth is inflation and interest rates. It has been higher under Biden but beyond the basic data Trump has no clue how complex economics work or policy that would change anything. Infact his policy seems pretty inflationary.
