Even the kit man is off now

Easily in the top 10 most annoying bellends of all time.

As if the person who puts things in a washing machine and jumps around like a 4 year old for a living needs to make any kind of statement when they leave employment.

He’ll be wanting a statue of an ironing board next.
Totally agree .. It’s getting ridiculous now.

Not a chance of that.

City pay the living wage to all and the tips from players would be considerable, not to mention trophy bonuses.
pep just gave him 10 grand or did he leave just before ouch

and no i dont know him or circumstances but common sense tells you find work before walking

The money is shit?
Football clubs only started paying a living wage in 2015 and quite a few took a while longer before they caught on doing the same.

If you’re not in the boardroom, in the management or playing team, you do not get paid much money in football.

Goldbridge made £4m last financial year.

I'd be surprised if the kitman is on more than £80k at the very, very top end. Probably more like £60k. Very nice wage, but given his fame from docs and other things has likely made a fair calculation that he can make more on podcast, YouTube, books etc.
£60, 000 for washing the kits! Surely it's nowhere near that high.

It's bollocks. Mate of mine knows him personally and he's leaving because the money is shit and wants to try something different.
Doubt it. Money can’t be that bad. Travelling the world with the club he supports. Just had a ten grand bonus from pep. He’s defo been fucked off

All you saying “dream job” etc.

The money wont be great. Theres a lot of travel. Its every weekend. Its just a job.

Anyone with a young family will know how important weekends are. Mine are taken ul with kids footy now, city are second now and i would sell my season ticket if it clashed with either of my kids footy to watch them.

My pal works at City. His former role meant a lot of player contact, hes said the novelty soon wore off.

Realities of life are sometimes more important than grown men being all weird about “the best job in the world”

I can see how the novelty could soon wear off. Being in and around players on £100k+ a week flashing the cash. And you’re there with a modest wage trying to survive
