No no no... The Republicans don't "think" he is their best guy. They actually had an election and gave everyone a fair opportunity to knock him off And no one could. It's not a thought, he is in fact their guy.

It's the other party who have to wonder whether they've put forward their best candidate.

First, they restricted the primary so the aging President could win with little opposition. Once he won, they put him in an earlier than usual debate, to test his declining cognitive abilities or set him up for his Coup-+whichever one you want to believe.).

Once he was pushed out, they Selected his replacement in some backroom and here we are :) With an unelected candidate.

I actually think biden was a good call. Cognitive deterioration aside he's been pretty statesman like during his tenure and actually tried to get on with the business of government rather than obsessing about trump and January 6.
I also don't see the republicans had any real alternative to the VP given the timeline - their own fault due to their desperation to prop up the obviously ailing biden.
This has left them in the position of having to quickly rally around the media construct of Harris as some sort of female Obama. I think she is wholly without substance, but on balance probably a less dangerous option than trump.

Perfectly valid conclusion. I personally find Trump to be a lesser evil of the 2.

When you listen to Harris now she sounds like an airhead. But she can't be this dumb. So the only conclusion one can reach is that she doesn't understand or believe most of what she is saying.

If you want to see an intelligent Kamala, simply go back to her 2018/2019 interviews. Sure she is no Obama, but she is a normal Politician when espousing far left ideas she seems to believe in andthat play beautifully in California but sucks everywhere else.

So instead, she bungles up one centrist idea after the other as she pretends she believes any of it. She's just not my cup of tea. And I really dislike her VP. Not that I'd have voted for her if she has picked a better one, but I clearly dislike Walz. And I know Kamala is a phony.

'Probably'???

And as for Harris being 'without substance', she had more than enough substance to be District Attorney of San Francisco, Attorney General of California, US Senator for CA and Vice President of the United States. There is no 'media construct'. As a politician she's about as authentic as it gets.

If you're looking for media construct, TFG was dead and buried before media company NBC hired him to front The Apprentice, and they portrayed him as some kind of business genius when he was anything but.
