It’s not arguable that was a major victory for the PL, if City had succeeded in that there’d be no APT rules right now, and as it stands we’re just back to 2020 rules.

I'm struggling to compute the comment of the prem "being in a much, much, better position" than if they lost all the claims against them.

That's like saying a bloke is in a much, much, better position losing only 75% of his monthly pay at the casino than losing 100% of it.

Technically, it is correct, but also he has lost 75% of his money. And in the grand scheme of things, his Mrs is not seeing the much, much, better position.

The premier league have been outed in a brutal fashion, that they clung onto a few scraps of victory is not a result for them at all. The damage to their reputation is immense, no matter how they spin it. When they lose the 115 charges soap opera the whole system will be cleared out.

It's to bring a fairness and transparency of a legally sound framework for each member club to adhere to, even if they'd rather be kept blindfolded, and to remove the diseased self-appointed aristocracy of the English game to prevent them continuing to shape the game to their benefit.

I would the endgame would be to completely ruin the club's who came after us.
Mind you one of them is having a go at that with out us.

Might be answered elsewhere but why are Everton and Chelsea backing us if they have large shareholder loans in place?

You can claim the club didn’t have a problem with the original APT rules, that doesn’t change the fact they just spent a lot of time and money trying to get them thrown out, the rules were on the line and we were unsuccessful, which is a win for the PL.

It might not be something the club are devastated about, but it’s ridiculous to claim that winning an argument at arbitration isn’t a win when the consequences of losing would have been huge.

They’re entitled to celebrate that because they’d be absolutely fucked if we’d won.

what you are saying is fundamentally wrong as they were never trying to get the rules thrown out, they were against a specific part of the rules in the amendments and how they were specifically applied to us which they successfully challenged, the club have never been against financial constraints when applied fairly, what the pl are doing is haphazardly trying to save face and is akin to someone nicking my car but leaving the badges and me saying well they didnt take everything so thats a win.

This, its most definitely sour grapes.

When the rags and arsenal were winning the PL , THERE WERE NO RULES limiting investment and restricting competion.

I wonder why they were brought in under the lie of financial fair play. You have to have an IQ of less than 10 to understand why.

Arsenal have never won everything mate , they’ve had purple patches but have never ever dominated English Football , only three clubs have done it - us and the other two red **** outfits in the close vicinity
