City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

This thread has taken a few twists and turns today and I'm as guilty as anyone for maybe getting bogged down in unnecessary disagreements.
I do believe however that in the fullness of time we will be shown to have secured a huge victory in this challenge, the games future dramatically changed with yesterday's findings.
Hopefully some common ground can be found between clubs and the financial governance put in place will be free of any discrimination.

its the same as the 115 charges.
They have thrown so much that they just hope some sticks.

I suspect whatever the verdict, the panel will come to the conclusion that 115/130 etc charges are ridiculous. Clearly padded out to make things appear worse.
I lost the energy to forensically follow all this ages ago. We tend to get charged, appeal and win. It’ll likely be the same in the 115.

It’s all so technical and dull that I can’t bring myself to read 175 pages of a judgment.

I’d rather rewatch Villa vs the rags. (Well, maybe not that utter shite, but you probably get my drift)

I liked it when somebody suggested producing evidence and it was duly produced only to be ignored / rubbished / requested for a second time. Bishop might not be funny but this place is hilarious at times.
The court of voluntary jurisdiction. Conducts its proceedings in English and 'recognises' only those statutes which are 'recognisable for the purposes of the court'. Since nobody knows what this means, the 'lawyers' do not like to spend too much time rehearsing jargon and citing 'cases', fearing that the whole spiel be ruled out as 'inadmissible'. Hence, justice is rough, not to say ready.

So presumably in PL world if 110 are thrown out and 5 charges are proved we can tell the world we won 110 to 5

I'm hoping there is more to come out but we're keeping that in reserve for our present ongoing 115 case.
It would be quite delicious if we had proof that Masters and his redshirt cronies colluded to stitch us and probably Newcastle up. Also that shitehouse clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford were given sweeteners to side with them.
There’s enough evidence to dig out masters and pl colluded with each other , if those shitty clubs were given any trace of sweeteners , than all our 115 charges should be dropped immediately.Void and null

Yesterday felt like a major Juggernaut coming through called Manchester City.
The only thing the powers at the top table (Premier League) could control to a point with the off-the-field Business.

But Now Manchester City has finally shown its muscles and true intent in wanting to stick around forever and not go away, You think you have seen something on the field of play that you'd never thought possible by Manchester City, Well yesterday was bigger.

The after-effect of watching the rats jumping ship in the media and having to write the truth that victory was all on Manchester City's side, Even today News that Manchester City have written to all the clubs stating the true FACTS about the real verdict,

I heard today that the Red-Top Yanks clubs have called a behind-closed-doors meeting and want out of the Premier League and form the Breakaway Super League. hahahaha
Both Labour and the Conservates stated legislation to prevent breakaways would be introduced

To sum it all up it's a full blown crisis for the PL and it has massive implication for one of this countries biggest export earners, I wonder if the government might have to intervene to settle this down
Who from the government though??
Hopefully not the PM Stalmer.
He wants to keep his free box at arsenal...

Don't know if anyone could shed any light on this.

Interesting that the tramps and spurs representatives will meet her.

I wonder why?
They will be taking designer clothes and keys for holiday lets with them to sweeten the discussions.

For the first time in years I spent £2.80 on a paper version of a newspaper.
I bought the Times because of Martin Samuel.
I am now sat in a pub reading it. Delicious.

On a side note, I got home at 3pm after 24 hours flying back from Oz. I had a shower and by 4pm I was in the pub. I best not tell my mum, she wouldn't be impressed.

I mean, what a reach that is. Chief football correspondent. Not even sure I should give any attention to the clown.

Basically shits on every fan of the club, basically saying City could disappear and nobody would give a fuck. Talk about protecting the game for the fans whilst clearly forgetting about the fans of this club.

A really pathetic piece.

Overseas TV rights are 5.3 billion for the current 2022-25 cycle. Substantial but nowhere near a top export earner.

I'm not sure why he's writing about complex financial and legal cases when he clearly doesn't understand them.

What a thick fuck . He is a disgrace to his surname “ cunning “

What the Red Reprobates TM fail to realize is that their American owners (+ Quart of Jim) want a closed shop, Super league, games in foreign markets etc and that 'ickle Siddy are actually the only thing standing between them and the Americanization of football in England (and probably Europe)
Personally, I'd be in favor of salary and spending caps, so that the league became a meritocracy based upon skill, coaching, fan influence etc but remind me who it was first went public then used the birth of satellite TV and then CL cash to gain an unfair advantage on domestic competitors?

Tw*ts, the lot of them ..

I don't know how someone paid to write about football could have such a rose tinted views of the sport's history with capital. What a mad read.
