GrealishHow many other new signing have had 6 year contracts bar Mendy and Kalvin Phillips?
I wonder if his solicitors are better than ours ? ;-)Benjamin Mendy faces former club Manchester City in a two-day employment tribunal starting this morning.
Mendy claims City failed to pay his wages between September 2021 until his contract ended in June 2023.
He had been suspended by City after being charged with a number of serious criminal offences assault in the September but was found not guilty on all counts in 2023.
Be interesting to see the outcome. I think he has a case.I wonder if his solicitors are better than ours ? ;-)
I do as well. The guy was found innocent at the end of the day.Be interesting to see the outcome. I think he has a case.
I would imagine this is peanuts compared to their recent income !!Fuck me our lawyers are going to be minted.
Certainly has. Unfortunately for City his being useless is not an argument they can use. Surprised they haven't come to an agreement based on wages minus a discount for him not being able to work.Be interesting to see the outcome. I think he has a case.
Couldn't be bothered going back through the thread but didn't we originally suspend him on full pay until he breached bail conditions and got locked up? That's down to him if true, regardless of the final outcome of the charges.Be interesting to see the outcome. I think he has a case.
He definitely got locked up for breaching bail. Then had to live at his home address and give up his passport.Couldn't be bothered going back through the thread but didn't we originally suspend him on full pay until he breached bail conditions and got locked up? That's down to him if true, regardless of the final outcome of the charges.

yep agreed. It all depends what was in his contract but City should be paying him his basic wages plus bonuses.I do as well. The guy was found innocent at the end of the day.
