As someone who grew up in a Country where Coups were normal and common, I can tell you, showing up without weapons is the Definition of "NOT a Coup."

Were some rioters terrible, obnoxious and despicable? Absolutely! But this is true of all protests. Hence why I generally hate protests and I support jailing rioters. Always have. Always will.

Ah! You must have missed where I supported the prosecution of all the protestors who rioted.

Funny how I never see any of you guys when I supported the prosecution of rioters when they are BLM types...

But here I am saying the same thing again. Prosecute the rioters!!!!

I am happy you've finally found a type of riot to agree with me on though.

At least we've got a "riot" now rather than a "protest".

18th century Russia, Praetorian guard, Ottoman Empire, Egypt, Chile…. etc etc.
Typically coups have been the murder of the incumbent followed by the accession of the guilty party.
