General transfer rumours

FIFA has confirmed plans to introduce a brand-new transfer window which is set to take place at the beginning of June 2025. The additional period will allow teams competing in next summer's all-new Club World Cup an opportunity to conduct business before the tournament gets underway on June 15th

Fuckin madness! They're doing it because all teams will be FORCED to bring & play their best players.
 
Liverpool, Arsenal and United are today linked with RFS Riga’s midfield serbian midfield anchor. After missing out on Stefan Borson and Baron Pannick in the previous window, they have now identified Stefan Panic as the man to keep them at the top of the cartel.

Wasn't sure where to post this piece of news so I just posted it here. Mods please move best you see fit. I know nothing about him nor about his success levels. And no idea what PL clubs might be interested in him.

One interesting question with these sorts of positions is whether the success has been more due to the MANAGER who managed the team, OR whether the success has been more due to OTHER PEOPLE in the backrooms, including the DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL. And I have no idea what the case is/was at Sociedad. Some people and some business teams share their expertise and work together. And such people usually desire and demand for the whole business team to be transferred to a new place. Other people and other business teams do not share their expertise and do not work together like that. And such people and business teams often do not desire nor demand for the whole business team to be transferred together.

The key question in all such things is who within the business team/operation holds the most important expertise. Many business teams/organisations seek to pry away individuals embedded within other business teams to learn as much as they can about the workings of a particular business team/organisation. That is so in the the whole business world, including football.

ps I should also say that RUMOURS (in the title of this thread) are often PRIMARILY used for such things. To pry away or to test the waters for prying away individuals within particular organisations. Players but also individuals at the other organisational leve. Again, happens in all business domains/areas/types/spheres and then, also, in football.

To me this link is first and most primarily interesting because this has become news. Why would this become news? I don't think that this sort of stuff is news when it comes to other players say in other clubs. And what does it mean that this has become news? And who has made it news? How did this Fabrizio Romano find out that this is happening? Did it come from the club or did it come from the player's agent?

If this came from the club, why would the club make this a news item? What purpose would a club have unless the club wants to perhaps sell the player?

As a Spurs fan I have watched the last Spurs game vs Ipswich very intently. I noticed that Son was unhappy. I don't know why exactly he is so unhappy but it perhaps has to do with him being used very wide on the left side. I think that Son is a very direct player that likes to be directly involved as much as possible. And I think he is also frustrated with the fact that Solanke has taken up that role. I don't think that Solanke and Son have started on the right footing, so to say.

And here is one example of Son playing on the left. Notice how he is not using the player next to him well. That is a very inefficient football play that I suppose a manager like Guardiola would not tolerate. This inefficient play has I think come about because of Son's frustration:



But, Son can also be great on the left. He put in a fantastic cross that turned the Spurs previous game vs. Villa which Spurs won 4:1.

Son, I think, is a great player who could help a team push for a title. He is a great goal scorer and he is very direct. He could be a great addition to a team chasing a championship (as a member of 5-6 players who are rotated to play a position in the front 3). But that would have to be a team that would suit his very direct style of play.

Tottenham, sadly, is a club riddled with problems. Very, very poorly run and in that I don't include the manager. Son is the captain and I consider him to be the best Spurs player. He still appears to have great stamina, directness and explosiveness but he is getting there in terms of age.
