City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

fuck I thought I was old
Many a true word said in jest!

As for being a 'FOC', I remember telling all the nephews/nieces in our group sitting in the Family Stand years ago when they were kids about how in my first season of being taken to Maine Road by The Old Man, Wolves were the reigning champions, about to be usurped by Burnley.

They were incredulous.. 'Wolves?! Burnley?! Never!' they said, more or less..

And when I told them that in the first 14 years of watching City I saw 12 different teams win the title, it near enough did their heads in. I keep telling them to enjoy our current dominance while it lasts, while they can because, as someone else has said here, it all goes in cycles.

Fingers crossed, though, that it continues for two or three seasons yet.. and that we also absolutely demolish the PL/Cartel for their duplicitous actions against us over the past fifteen years while we are mopping up a few more trophies to add to our collection!

Iirc, Burnley clinched the title by beating us at Maine rd.

Correct. Burnley's win prevented Wolves from winning their 3rd title in a row but Wolves did win the FA Cup beating Blackburn 3-0 in the final. I think a Blackburn player broke his leg in that match but he doesn't like to talk about it.

It was Dave Whelan. Made his money after retirement.

You nearly had to drag the story out of him.
