Indeed, that needs to be changed.

There were people involved in the formation of Manchester City who at one stage or another were involved in either St Marks, Gorton or Ardwick (or two of the three or all three). Again, it’s just a coincidence though.

It’s even wrong about St Marks becoming Ardwick. It went:
St Marks - Unknown date (the earliest record of a match is 1880, but that doesn’t mean that’s when they were formed) to 1884
Gorton - 1884-1887
Ardwick - 1887-1894

‘On 18th April 1894 Ardwick lost 2-0 to Sheffield United at Hyde Road before a poor attendance of 200 spectators in a match held “to help the Ardwick Committee meet some of their heavy financial liabilities.” Ardwick’s last match was a scoreless draw away against Stockport County on 28th April 1894’.

Manchester City were formed between 12th-16th April.

After the success of the collaboration with Noel Gallagher the club will release a special 4th kit next season to thank loyal fans over 50 based on a design from the late Bernard Manning which he created in the dressing room of the Embassy club whilst James H. Reeves was warming his audience up.

Details of the design are unknown, however
It will only be available in sizes L, XL, XXL, and "American".

It has a Frank Sidebotham head as well.

This new special edition size can be worn to matches and also used to provide cover for up to 16 fans during downpours, as well as a quick parachute to get from upper levels to the pitch in seconds, with integrated harness and attachment lines integrated in the design.

Made from 100% recycled KFC fryer grease, this exclusive and limited edition size will be available at only £200, with free player name and number printing.

When I think about it, it makes me think ‘why have we never had a sash on the home kit before?’. It’s a bit of a no brainer really as sashes are a ‘City’ thing. It’s proper classy in Sky and white.
