Sporting CP (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Pep and the team clearly didn’t care about the Spurs game judging by their laughing at the end of it so why risk so many key players - or why add another game to their legs - during a time where we’re run ragged with matches already and have injuries all over the place?

Does my head in.
Exactly it was insane to play that team when he said otherwise

Our finishing and defending was like a midtable team in the Portugese league.
Still it could (should ?) have been 3 or 4-0 when the equalised ….

It must be their fantastic manager that will make United big again. According to the English media.

We just need to get through this week and hopefully get our squad back to being injury free.

We all love City but the idea that we are the best team around is no longer true. The best teams can find a result when the tide is against them. We could in the past but not now.

But, we can still win the league and the CL if we just improve bit by bit.

We'd lasted suspiciously long without the inevitable mini disaster that always happens before January...

We were shit tonight. Counter attack ripped us apart, attack couldn't finish a sandwich after a hunger strike.

For all those thinking we shouldn't moan about our team or fail to back our manager, that was wank. Complete collapse at the back, failed to take chances again and throw away a game. No subs til way too late in the game. Pep completely empty of ideas. Just seen a manager change his team's attitude at half time . Well done Sporting but as Noel said tonight it's not looking good at the moment. Absolute demolition .

Ridiculously bad defending. First half we leathered them and that second half is inexcusable. We need to sort this out or we’re in big fucking trouble

We’re in all kinds of trouble
Lewis, Akanji, Gvardiol, Kovacic, Bernardo, Savinho, Haaland all had an absolute shocker
I felt really sorry for Simpson-Pusey as he seem to be held out to dry by his fellow defenders

We’ll qualify for the knockout stages, but we’re nowhere near good enough to win it and I think in the Prem the best we can hope for is a top four finish
