Sporting CP (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

The game should have been put to bed in the first half. There has to be some serious questions about our conversion rate. If you are going to miss that many chances and play such a high line against a team that played with pace you are asking for trouble.
Never had the phrase a game of two halves been more appropriate. We started off the first half on fire, started the second like we wanted another 5 mins rest.

I've not been disappointed in a display for long long long time. The last 3 weeks have slowly, progressively beaten each other. Pep will pull it round.

Masters of our own downfall tonight, We should have been out of sight in the first 20 minutes and killed them off when we had them on the ropes.

It was inevitable that we would concede when we didn't put our chances away.

We are going through a really tough period at the minute so as fans we have to suck it up and get behind the players.

Theyll bounce back.

I never thought I'd say "I can't wait for the International Break" but it's actually coming at a really good time.

Pep and the team clearly didn’t care about the Spurs game judging by their laughing at the end of it so why risk so many key players - or why add another game to their legs - during a time where we’re run ragged with matches already and have injuries all over the place?

Does my head in.

Absolutely threw it away, heads went once they scored.

Lacking speed and physicality all over the place.

A bad summer window compounded with injuries has messed us right up.

Need De Bruyne to stay fit and get us to January. Getting Dias, Stones and Grealish back would help too.
When was the last time KDB played well we can’t rely on him

Those of us that voted loss before the game let our heads rule our hearts. We had seen the writing on the wall for a few weeks now.

Pep has got one hell of a job to put out a team who can turn this round.
