In a thread that's quite depressing from a number of perspectives, seeing Sergio Ramos, The Granny Shagger and Eminem bracketed together is slightly bizarre but welcome light relief!

But it's absolutely true.

With these American tourist/traveler women you can notice the difference with the Spanish girls.

You can talk about everything with an American female traveler. They take their clothes and travel alone to Europe (a Spanish girl would never travel alone).

They are very interested in the local culture, you can attract them as a man by showing knowledge (intellectual attraction), they are educated...

Last summer I traveled by bus from Barcelona to Germany and met an American girl. She had been volunteering in Peru.

She told me "Europe is the man I would have one night of wild sex with. America is the man I would want to marry."

Conversing, showing interest, reflecting... with a Spanish girl all that does not exist. Are you handsome and bad boy? Then yes. Are you not it? Bye.

Young american boys and girls who are living in Europe are incredibly educated.

All of them. Democrats or republicans or apolitical. From Texas or from New York.

Calm, interested in local culture, respectful, mature...

Being interested in politics is a sign of intelligence.

I have a theory that they are youngs guys whose parents are economically middle class or upper class and that is why they have the opportunity to live a year or two in Europe. It is impossible for ALL young Americans to be like this.

20 years ago when I was young, I saw the difference between an American girl and a Spanish girl.

American girls very educated, fascinated by the European world and for the local culture where they were living, capable of feeling INTELLECTUAL ATTRACTION FOR A MAN...

Spanish girls don't give a shit cultures or policy, just giving drama and being attracted for "garrulos" (garrulo = Sergio Ramos, Wayne Rooney, Eminem... you understand the concept).

The stereotype that Americans are uneducated is ABSOLUTELY FALSE.

Not sure what that has to do with my post? Even so though, you’re using an incredibly small subset to make a conclusion and the comment I was replying to clearly shows being college educated doesn’t mean you are necessarily intelligent…

More likely a democrat voting boss just being spiteful to his redneck republican workforce. Trump isn't in office for a couple of months yet and any crazy tariffs will take even longer. I suppose these stories will pop up like the various Brexit ones did the week after that vote when it would be years until it actually happened.

That hasn’t got anything to with my post!

He’s obviously met that I show Speed guy. He seems humble, articulate and considered.

Trump fell and got up.

It is a trait of great businessmen.

Kamala Harris deputy district attorney at 25.
Biden didn't do anything in his life. Live from politics.

Of those three, Biden is the weakest.
That’s either a wonderful attempt at a troll, or a post by someone whose never risen above assistant fry cook at Jack In The Box since 2002.

I know this story; saw it on Twitter. She said you gave her some money and then she laughed at you with her friends.

More accurate predictions from the people that told us biden was sharp as a tack and Kamala would win.....
I think it's probably worth waiting to see what actually happens.
The mental damage is already done. Ask my daughter.

Though I never talk about my work, I have spent two days meeting with a number of different companies in my field. This would be eight companies who do about $100 BB in annual revenue in toto. This would be senior leadership.

Nearly all are nervous; some are scared — especially when I start talking about how much it will cost to hedge risk when the American economic and social bell curve outcome set has been so altered.

Interestingly, the average perspective is “We wanted Trump to win, but we didn’t want the House to go red because balance makes better policy.”

Immigration policy is much more their worry than tariffs as the marketplace will keep tariffs in check (to a point you’ve made and I agree with) but they cannot count on the citizenry or anyone else to prevent a rampantly overreaching ICE.

Just some thoughts.

I'm not claiming any of the nasty stuff won't happen, but until it does it hasn't. Speculation or even fear is fair enough, but presenting scare stories as facts is something which is wearing thin. Not refering to your very personal concerns btw.

What about the young girls at school and college having to deal with the insult 'your body, my choice' being thrown at them from boys since election day?

This isn't a scare story. It's actually happening where I live, and I can only see it getting worse leading up to and beyond inauguration day. Trump's rhetoric is to blame.

Nothing has changed in terms of abortion law since the beginning of the week. Those boys would not be better people today if Kamala had won on Wednesday

I understand — and thank you — my point is (good) companies don’t have the luxury of “wait and see” — they need to have a plan for every outcome; it’s their fiduciary responsibility — and when they look at the new outcome set it would be natural to be concerned.

But the girls are worse off for having experienced that, as mine is — it’s a net negative, not a status quo.

I will say this — just spoke with my wife (since I’m traveling) and she said, “I’m not going to let this asshole ruin my life. We’re going to protect our kids, switch all our charitable giving to protect those impacted by him, control what we can control and live our lives.”

She’s right. I’m a very lucky guy. I won’t be the only one in my circle who switches our CG portfolio meaningfully.

And incidentally my daughter who I’m on my way to see right now was extremely well supported by her school and her friends, so I am grateful for that.

If things are that messed up, they were that messed up long before Wednesday and would still be that messed up with a democrat win. That's societal sickness. Granted it may get worse under trump but it's clearly there already. Hope you and yours are ok.

They wouldn’t have felt as emboldened to say what they did though.
Very possibly, but it's not like they suddenly started thinking those thoughts just as trump got the 276 electoral college votes needed. It's been a pretty horrible low brow campaign all round.
