Without Haalands goals we would be bottom half. And nobody can say we would play differently and players would make up the goals if he didn't play because they wouldn't, they're all performing shite. Haaland should be looking for his move away.

Every dog has its day and we have. We'll be pretty much on the same downward spiral the rags have been for 10 years.

But that's football. You can dominate forever. English football history tells us that.

I've had a great 3 years supporting city, since 2021 because I wanted to support Grealish but I've lost hope.

Umpteen players injured-several more clearly unfit. It’s not difficult to work out.

Today's goals were not the usual goals we concede, what we did today is never really try to get the 2nd goal. Tactically it's fucking insane. It's all mind numbingly boring to watch. We score, we just stop trying. "City will always keep their foot in the pedal" is no longer a thing. And most of this is on the manager. Even when we were scraping wins against Fulham and Southampton at home it was the same.

Until the 70th minute we were still there and making chances, even if we did come out for the 2nd half like lost sheep. Incredibly poor to concede that 2nd goal in the fashion we did. Need to move on Nunes, patent;y not good enough, and possibly even Grealish who I don't think cares enough. Kova had a good first half but he's no Rodri, not even close.

Not sure what game you were watching but didn’t start to play until 2-1 down….

It was a good competitive match. So did we. Brighton had 4 clear chances (2 goals + a header + 1v1 from Joao), we also had 4 (Savinho 1v1, Haaland goal and another 1v1, and Haaland cross thst was barely deflected). We both had several minor chances: Brighton another header, a long ball for 1v1 that Eddie controlled it well. We had Savinho shot that was barely out, Foden and Gvardiol in the last minutes, Haaland's header feom a corner with no GK... tell me if I am not correct with the assesment of the chances. Entertsining match overall.

Like I said before the game, defeat here was inevitable. Brighton are a good side who are unbeaten at home (have beaten United and Spurs as well) - we're down on confidence and in a shocking place with injuries and fitness. I put £50 on the Seagulls this afternoon and that's a nice £200 I've earned for myself as a result.

We just have to ignore the "FOUR DEFEATS IN A ROW" headlines (which the players will), get everyone (Rodri and Bobb aside) back fit over the next few weeks, and start the season again after the November internationals. Let everyone enjoy our "downfall" and see where we stand in three months. Just have to be patient.

10 players out injured/unfit in the last two weeks. The other 11 players all being asked to play far too much football - Lewis, Gundogan, and Nunes especially, and it shows. Throw any club with an injury list as bad as ours into a rough run of fixtures like Spurs, Bournemouth, Sporting, and Brighton, all away, and the same thing happens to them.

We go through this kind of form every season, it's just being exacerbated by a terrible injury situation (the worst I can remember in all my years following City) and a rough fixture list. It feels worse but it's just like this time last season, and this time in 22/23, and this time the year before that, and so on and so on. We'll be fine.

And it's happened to lots of great teams in recent years. Liverpool completely burnt out in 20/21 after winning the league the year before, then massively burnt out during the 22/23 season - they were two games from a quadruple in May 2022 and they paid the price with fitness problems and injuries throughout the next campaign.

Because come on, there's no way we lose all four of these games if just four of the currently injured lads are fit. Dias, Akanji, Stones, and Ake was our back four the night we won the European Cup. Right now we're relying on a threadbare back four with two teenagers in it - experienced strikers are going to suss them out over 90 minutes.

Simpson-Pusey shouldn't be where he is. He's 19 years old. The same should be said of Lewis, another teenager who clearly needs a break at the moment but can't get one because our entire treble-winning back four (Akanji, Dias, Stones, Ake) is injured. Gundogan and Nunes are also unfortunately being run into the ground right now.

We should have Dias, Stones, Akanji, Ake, and Grealish all back for Spurs, with De Bruyne in as well. Suddenly we can play Ederson, Akanji, Stones, Dias, Gvardiol, Kovacic, De Bruyne, Foden, Grealish, Haaland, Bernardo from the start. That's a much stronger team that looks more like City to me. Let's see what happens in two weeks.

Bigger picture time: we'll get everyone back fit before Christmas, get a couple of players signed in January, and go again. We might not win the league this season (after four-in-a-row, no biggie) but the FA Cup and Champions League will be available to us for sure. There's still loads of time left to make this a special season.

That was another limp collapse. We’re not winning the league this season, we’re far too soft. Played well first half but like Tuesday didn’t take our chances but this time we stopped playing after 65 minutes. Brighton took control and cut through us repeatedly. Never looked like we were going to get back into it. We’re also back to conceding goals in bursts, 3 in 15 either side of half time Tuesday and 2 in 6 minutes tonight.

Chickens have gone home to roost after consistently poor recruitment, no cover for Rodri in the summer. We’ve kept a clearly past it Walker, we’ve added Gundogan, Philips, Nunes and Kovacic who haven’t added much. Only Gvardiol, Doku or Savinho could be seen as successes. Our midfield options are fading. We sold Alvarez without replacement. Our succession planning has non existent.

This current side is the worst team we’ve had under Pep. Soft defensively, an ageing midfield, limited creativity and, after the last 3 performances, clearly struggling in confidence.

We will need to spend to make the top 4 this season. Our performances have been poor recently but we managed to pull results out of the fire but the damn has broken and we’re starting to look fragile. Now, If we concede we’re falling apart. Bournemouth tore us to shreds for 80 minutes. We conceded against Sporting and fell to pieces and once Brighton equalised we were lost.

I’m starting to think the players know Pep is leaving and it’s had an impact.

We’ve had some amazing amazing seasons but now we need to regroup and rebuild.
