Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Pathetic 2nd half performance.

With the injuries the team just isn't good enough. We don't have the physicality or the legs this season, we're getting outrun and outfought in every game.

Midfield without Rodri simply isn't good enough. Don't care how well any of them plays in moments, the last 2 transfer windows haven't been good enough.

Glad there's an international break so I can just switch off from football.

But some on here are okay we lose 4 on the trot.
We have an ageing team. Key players are picking up more and more injuries and surprisingly are also getting older.
We are short of 4 quality full backs two central midfielders 6 fried chickens a coke and a slice of white toast.
The level of quality in our squad, in key positions and across the board, has been systemically downgraded for some time, and now it is showing

We’ve known for years we need a Rodri backup, they didn’t fucking address that

We have 2 players who we can rely on for goals, Haaland and Foden, who else is there??

Nunes, Walker need binning. KDB is sadly finished and has lost 5 yards of pace it seems. The wide players are not of the level or threat Sterling & Sane were back in the day.

Rico Lewis is a solid member of the squad and still so young, but he’s a total luxury out there when times are tough

We need a decision from Pep and either get a couple of quality bodies in in January, or else get a new manager in the summer and start planning for a PROPER rebuild in the summer. Not signing average squad players like Nunes.

It can't wait till the summer.

Diabolical second half. No shots on target in the second half, 9 minutes of casually dicking around like we're 5-0 up instead of trying to rescue a point. Team look like they don't give a shit at the minute.

I expected a hammering in truth, it wasn't but that was somehow even worse because Brighton themselves were miles off it and looked to be handing us 3 points on a plate only for us to capitulate. They were much better than that against the dippers and still lost twice to them in a week.

We might only be 5 points adrift, nowhere near an insurmountable deficit, especially at this stage. but the one thing people aren't factoring in is that we've had an extremely kind fixture schedule until now, we've played just 2 of the traditional big 6, we've got a heavy fixture list over the next 2 months, we're currenrly getting torn apart by bang average sides, a top side will annihilate us.

Injuries aren't solely responsible for this, it's a tactical issue that Pep has shown no signs of looking to fix and so this will continue throughout the season.

I’ve watched a shit City side most of my adult life bar the last period since our takeover so losing a few games isn’t going to alter my opinion on this squad or our manager.

Let’s see where we are come the end of the season shall we before throwing ourselves off the deep end and if we win fuck all, so be it, who cares, we will be back and even if we never came back, it’s City, it was never ever about winning anything in the first place.

Have faith, they have earned and deserved some faith from us.

Savinho and Nunes are nowhere near good enough, fucking shite.

My heart sank when I saw the line up with them in it but the back line was more of a concern.

As it happens, the defence was untroubled but that pair disappeared completely. Nunes, fuckinell!

Some of the older guard may have declined too much where they won't recover (Walker, Gundog, KDB).

We didn't deserve to lose that but thank fuck for the break.

I'm lost for words. I honestly cannot believe how shit we have become. This is Peps 1st season on crack cocaine. The team is fucked, lopsided, old and has no direction. It's clear he is off because these guys have fucked all of pep off currently
I know, second place, it's a nightmare......fuck me, you can spot em a mile off
