We were fortunate to beat Brentford, Fulham & Soton and scraped a win v Wolves

Unless we sign two worldies in Jan we ain't winning anything this season. Even then it might be too late. I'll gladly eat my words if wrong

You have to lose at some point.

People have short memories. Pretty much season has games we just scraped through and losses against teams we should beat. That's football

Knowing how we finish seasons, I'm more than OK with where are right now.

Rodri is a huge miss but he hasn't played a full game for us in the league this season and we're in a very good position still and lost once. People should calm down a bit. We'll be OK, especially once we get some players back.

And if we don't happen to win the league for the first time in 5 years then it'll just make the next one more enjoyable.

Absolutely disgraceful stuff. Can't even do the basics right. Developed a weak mentality and can't hang onto a lead. Only a few players are doing their job but we've become bottle jobs!!!

Pep is a spent force. In reality, most managers get a good 10-15 year run if they're a top manager and that's their lot. Pep is probably there now.


Without Haalands goals we would be bottom half. And nobody can say we would play differently and players would make up the goals if he didn't play because they wouldn't, they're all performing shite. Haaland should be looking for his move away.

Every dog has its day and we have. We'll be pretty much on the same downward spiral the rags have been for 10 years.

But that's football. You can dominate forever. English football history tells us that.

I've had a great 3 years supporting city, since 2021 because I wanted to support Grealish but I've lost hope.

Yeah true but feels different this time - this squad peaked in the treble season and we have key senior players past their best and injury prone and a manager who I think is unsure if he wants to extend his stay for a rebuild - this isn’t a blip - Ipswich Brentford Southampton Wolves we scraped a result - at our best a few years ago we beat teams like that 4 or 5 nil - young energetic midfielder was required and Gundogan should be replacing him with 20 minutes left not starting - any real surprise we lost 4 straight ? Add to that the charges and we have testing times ahead - but still not as bad as when we used to lose to Stockport etc

Not sure Big Erl suits a Pep team once you hollow out all the other goal scorers.

He doesn't suit this pep team because the tactics we have adopted are antithetical to his skill set. And yet he's so fucking good he still scores goals. We should build the team around getting him as many touches as possible.

4 titles in a row is unprecedented and will probably never be done again but that is the reaso. You bring in new young players to experience winning titles and trophy’s but instead of refreshing the team and evolving we stood since our treble winning season we have brought gvadiol who looks the real kovacic who is a good player but not world class of elite , doku atm a decent player with potential, nunes a good player that’s about it , savio who looks quality and gundo who is to old and best days are behind him . These signings to probably The best team in the world are not good enough and will along with players who are now to old and njury prone stagnate us and in the end we are following fergies path in his last season at Utd when that had no right to win the title but used up everything to do it . If Pep doesn’t take a two year extension then he needs to go in the summer and let the new manager start to rebuild this team because even though it’s only two league games lost we look finished .

100% it is different this time..
Many things have come to a head..

Players breaking a fingernail and claiming unfit to play. ( Excluding rodders)..

Player recruitment in many departments ( fuck the charges) many top players would still come here but feels like penny pinching from the club..

Pep needs to say what he's doing so all the above can move on ( or not which is what we all want pep to stay) ..

Not least opposing teams have caught up with recruitment and tactically against us..

You can support the club, as you and I have done for many years, through all the ups and downs, but still criticise things you think are wrong. And, as you rightly say, it's only the players and the staff who can put things right.

We're also old enough to remember the team getting great support in several relegation seasons.
We were certainly well supported all the way to the third division.

2 glaring things today for me.

1. Nowhere near fit enough as a team.

2. Complete lack of that old trademark hunger and aggression to win the ball back. Where has the “6 second rule” gone?. Their first goal was this in a nutshell. Nunes and Gvardiol just stood there with their thumbs up their arses when it just needed hoofing away. Pathetic. Just lay down and died that last 25 mins.


The only bright spot for me was the kid Simpson-Pusey who I thought had a belting game in a tough context.

We really do need this international break. I hope there’s a big sit down as a group and they pull themselves together and fucking quickly.

Yeah almost zero closing down.

What's more of a worry is again and again we look world beaters or at the least comfy on 30 odd mins but then the opposition changes game plan and we're fucked.

Injuries or not, Pep needs to step up, we look like his first year year where he almost didn't look to fused if we were dicked as the next season he knew he'd be able to change it and fucking watch out. I'm not sure he's got it in him to go again.

He's said more than once if the players aren't with him etc.
I'm not sure they are, this could be the dying embers of brilliance.

With him being 6 months from potentially leaving it's time to shit or get off the pot I'm afraid.

I’m not angry anymore tbh, we’ve been fucking majestic under pep for 8 years, and all good things come to an end. Injuries, Rodri, aging club legends, Pep coming to the of his term here. To me it just seems like the hunger and mentality isn’t there anymore, and players are mentally and physically exhausted.

Honestly, we’ll all feel much better as fans if we just chill out, lower our expectations a bit and just see how the season transpires.

Yes pep will never lose his genius..
But he's human.

He also needs backing from the board which I don't think he's had in the summer..

But he also needs to say what his own personal intentions are so we can rebuild and move on or carry on and support him in the transfer market and not be penny pinchers.
