City accounts on bluesky

I'd love to come off social media pretty much altogether.

It's an addiction. Can't go back to just finding out the news when I stick the telly on at night, it needs to be there and then. Football on? Must find out what everyone is saying about it.

Pure addiction, honest enough to admit that.

I'm on Facebook, twitter/X and forums such as this. Thankfully not on tik tok, Instagram or snapchat etc. Blue sky sounds appealing but I know the moment I download it, it'll become another addictive platform I could have allowed to be a watershed moment and avoided.

Not me. As I've said cesspools are everywhere. As in everywhere. Just that they sometimes express themselves differently and then also differently in different places. But they are everywhere. But as I've also said some places are better than others. But better in such regards.

You go to CNN for example, or to Parliament, and find yourself that you can't say and (then also) think shit.

There is a distinction between cesspool elements on a social media platform and cesspool elements running the social media platform.
Sure you can say that if you want but let's also remember that Parliament and Constitutional Democracy were invented here in Britain. And those were good and great developments.

What's with all the plugging of this shit social media site I had never heard of until today. Are you all being paid to promote it or summat.

I'll stay on Twitter thanks, I only use it for horseracing news and it serves that purpose fine. Just keep to the following tab not for you and its fine. If Threads didn't kill twitter Bluesky won't.

X is what you make of it. If you don’t click on any political shite, just use it for sport news, it’s just a supplement to getting information about City/footy/sport.

As soon as any political bollocks pops up I click ‘Not interested in this post’.
Even if you only use it for that, every other post on your timeline is an ad
I spent half my time on twatter clicking on not interested or block and it continued to flood my timeline with associated shite

We should have that function on here…full of politics from usually the same people. I don’t mind it because I actively ignore it but when it’s popping up everywhere it’s a pain in the fucking arse.

Joined, may as well see a few twitter blues/berts I follow have too, will dip in for now see how it is but mainly still us twitter

I remember a year or two ago when lots of people set up new accounts on Threads. I did the same, but then never actually used it. Have set up a Bluesky account too so I don’t feel left out (bluemoonmcfc.bsky.social for anyone interested), but it will probably end up being the same. I just don’t have the time or inclination to be continually checking two identical platforms (I still have a BM Facebook account too that never gets used). Presumably there will be an app to allow you to post to both simultaneously, but it all seems like a bit of a faff. I already get my fill of societal division and loathing on here as it is! Joking aside, it’ll be interesting to see what those who have invested in Twitter blue ticks do now though.

Will be getting off X by the end of the week and have joined bluesky instead. Hopefully @Prestwich_Blue and @tolmie's hairdoo do likewise but meanwhile can anyone recommend any City accounts on there?
I'll set up an account but I'm also staying on X for the moment. I've built up a big following on there so don't particularly want to throw that away, certainly not while the PL case outcome is pending.

Had a look yesterday as I’d never heard of it before and had sacked Twitter off last year.

One of the first things I saw was a post from a Dipper moaning about Coote! Yeah ok.
