The Labour Government

We had a fair few centrists' of a Labour persuasion who for years followed a certain socialist mantra things like

Look after the elderly our pensions ate too low
Austerity is a ideological choice not a necessity
Politicians should be truthful, honest and not lining their pockets

Then their party got in and they discarded it all, hence false reds.

The purples.
Ah got you.

It’s his ongoing tribute act to being a Twitter troll. Most just ignore him.
I am surprised at this post AHT, I thought much to your credit, you didn't resort to personal jibe?

Very few people I ignore on here, im happy to listen to most opinions even if I dissagree with them which I often do.

It’s not the opinion that grates, it’s the WUMming, which is similar to Twitter trolling techniques.

It’s all negative as “everything is rubbish, all politicians are the same and the planet is about to die”, so one might as well take the piss out of everything relentlessly.

I've not really paid that much attention to be honest, I just post now and again, when I think I can offer an alternative opinion or a comment on the current situation. Everyone has differing opinions tho, do they not?

They do, and no doubt I’ll be called a sad donk or some variation in a bit.

As I say, no issue with the opinions.

None of which are socialist traits.
In the context of the Labour Party(obviously not this one so far) and its much touted socialist values they very much are. Anyhow you appear to be going thru one of those I don't like my lot being questioned periods when you get a bit grumpy.

I will leave you too it, this lack of acceptance in other opinions isn't great but nothing new. As I have said before I comment on hypocrisy and you and others don't like being called out on it.

It's not wumming it's you getting wound up because you know its the truth. You have even posted three lies about my opinions so I'm sorry if my expectations and morals are higher than yours. You need to own that.

Ttfn.

Sigh.

I reckon it will be years of change now. Give it 2 or 3 years and people will be calling for Conservatives. And the roundabout continues.

The country is in a right state. And I don't think we have a government from any corner capable of sorting it out!!

We can disagree about opinions but it’s more difficult with facts.

Simply put you can't raise tax without people paying more. Ie the tax has to be more than the offset measures announced.

I don’t disagree with that. I was disagreeing with your comment that it would adversely affect most SMEs when that clearly isn’t true. You article refers to 26% of SMEs which is far from a majority.

Well there are 26% which are considering very drastic action. That doesn't mean that others are still not going to be detrimentally affected such as the 42% that are thinking of stopping recuritment.

Using our small business as an example, luckily I don't see us laying off staff. For us the tax rises will probably result in a mixture of inflationary increases passed to our clients and us absorbing some costs where we can with us having to cut back on our investment and growth plans. But we will have to see how the general market in our sector deals with it as our industry is affected heavily by interest rates.

But on the plus side there will be plenty of measurable targets to tick off so some insufferable **** can create a meme telling everyone how great it was.
I think targets and ratings are already in place, part of what’s wrong to many tick boxes not enough beds or staff they are over worked from my experience
