Best City Football you've seen?

Real Madrid first half, 2-1 beating of Liverpool, Stoke/Arsenal in short succession where we played like magic. There surely are quite a few.

One game I really enjoyed and is a little bit of a surprise is the League Cup against the Rags at Old Trafford. Stones and Dias were amazing that day.

From a pure entertainment perspective, the first season with Pellegrini was fantastic free-flowing and really fun to watch, defensively, not so much always.

Ditto.
I too could not believe it.That 5-1 away win at Spurs had me dizzy with excitement. There was so much skill and technical ability in that team
Watching Silva Yaya and Nasri weave such tight, intricate, patterns around the spurs players was just magic and then Augero who sprinted twisted and turned in perfect harmony with the midfield dribbling with ,absolute control of the ball at his feet ,low centre of gravity, clearly loving being at the top of his game with fellow players on his level.awesome to watch.amd Dzeko ..basically..ran amok.grabbing 4 goals at a time when it wasn't even fashionable to score 4 in a game ; )

. Spuds never got a grip ,it was all City...and it flowed.

I'll never forget opening Facebook at half time during that game and seeing some rag that's status that simply said. "Shit. City are fucking brilliant."

Like the title says, I'm curious what is the best football you've seen City play?

For example, many point to the first half against Madrid, on the way to the treble, as the best football city okay. Some might point to the 2-1 Liverpool game that had the Stones clearance.

What are some of the best/top city footballing moments for you? Something that got out of your seat or in retrospect made you think you are likely watching greatness. Could be a moment, half, full game, etc..
I would say that best football I've ever seen from City came probably during Peps earlier years at the club, when the likes of David Silva, Aguero were here etc ..... and following those i would say that Brian Hortons entertaining side were the next 'best watch'.

Of all the games I have witnessed live...March 1962. City 6 Spurs 2 - Peter Dobbing hat-trick.
City, having a mediocre season, blasted away a high flying Tottenham side with Greaves, Blanchflower, Mackay & White.
I don't think I have ever left Maine Road more dazzled by a City performance. Walking back home my to home in Hulme in wearing my City scarf and waving my rattle, people asked the score...but no one believed me.
I think this match maybe needs more attention..

Manchester City 6 Tottenham Hotspurs 2 March 1962

Any other bluemooner old enough to have attended this game .?
What was it that sparked City into smashing a top spurs team to bits?

City 4 Arsenal 2, 2009
Spurs 1 City 5, 2011
City 1 United 0, 2012 (never seen a City side give a Utd side so little in a game)
City 4 United 1, 2013
City 6 Arsenal 3, 2013
City 6 Spurs 0, 2013
City 7 Stoke 2, 2017
City 4 Spurs 1, 2017
City 3 United 1, 2018
Arsenal 0 City 3, 2018
City 2 Liverpool 1, 2019
City 4 Madrid 3, 2022
City 6 United 3, 2022 (6-1 after 65mins, if we’d wanted to and really gone for it from that point, we could have genuinely gone on and won 10-1 that day, we were unbelievable for 70mins, the Rags had completely gone but we let them off the hook)
City 4 Liverpool 1, 2023
City 4 Arsenal 1, 2023
City 4 Madrid 0, 2023

The 4-0 Vs Madrid is an obvious stand out due to the opposition however the game which stands out in my mind was the 7-2 vs Stoke.

Just an absolute masterclass and it was then I realised just how special Pep is. It's right up there with Peps Barca side which utterly annihilated the rags at Wembley.

Going back to Mother Macs after the game most blues were in disbelief of what we just witnessed. If we hadn't eased up with 15 mins to go we could of easily got double figures.

Even Mark Hughes said after the game he'd never seen a side he managed before get destroyed like that. It was a true masterclass

The 1.0 away at Chelsea when KDB scored was an unbelievable performance, totally outplayed the Chavs away, who couldn’t have complained had we won 4.0
That game still stands out for me. Virtually perfect for the whole 90 mins in every area of the pitch. Total control from start to finish.

Was just thinking about this and there are a lot.. but there are 3 top moments that are simply incredible..

1. David Silva's first goal where he made the Blackpool defense look non league stupid..

2. KDB's assist vs Villa to make it 3-2.. I still don't know how he calcuated beating Luis Diaz to the ball, controlling it, dribbling past Mings and putting an inch perfect pass with enough side spin on the ball so that the keeper couldn't fall down on it while running full speed.. the technicality needed for that assist is like 11/10

3. Peak Bernardo.. Foden shoulda first timed it for a goal here

I know I left out a lot like 1-6 vs rags, 4-0 vs the spanish armada.. Stones smashing Ederson's face in and then saving off the goal line..

Even that ridiculous Kompany own goal where one of our defenders tried to bicycle kick it out!
