Spurs played a fairly strong line up on the cup and we ran them close with a few youngsters in our side. The need for a win is imperative but if Pep senses that any of the seniors are not comfortable, not at it, then for sure Nico or Jacob should step in.

Crap news about Kova.

We can't play Walker at RB versus who is statistically the best-pressing team in the league. It would be one thing if he were poor on the ball but still fast, but he's neither anymore. Please give me any of Akanji, Stones, Lewis, or Nunes there over him.

The team is absolutely impossible to guess now Kova isn't fit. I have a feeling that it might be time for Johnny Stones to go in there.

Maybe Gundo will have improved his fitness in the last 2 weeks, being at the Etihad and no international duty. Let's hope he can step up a level - he must do, if he's picked.

If Ake isn‘t fit enough, I suppose it would have to be Stones there with Lewis stepping into midfield from RB (but ideally into midfield alongside Gundogan, not 20 yards ahead of him …).

Still leaves us with some decent options from the bench - Doku, De Bruyne, Nunes …

They are missing Romero, VdV and Bentencur. Solanke will come back a lot because they have no height whatsoever in the team. We can dunk on them with Stones, Haaland and Gvardiol. Their only weapon IMO are their wingers on the break.

I'd be more than happy with that team. This is the time for De Bruyne to step up when we need him most.
