RB must be a higher priority than CF, walker shouldn't start a single game

I just assumed it was January as the need could not be more obvious. Txiki needs to be singing Auld Lang Syne in Sociedad or Bergamo this year.

If we are going to drop out of champs league this is the year to do it money wise because the club World Cup will make up for the money we will make in that..

What would be the chances that we sign both in January? both player qualities are clearly needed

Might not be up to the club, there are 3 parties to any deal. If it's the summer then that's what it is. Still be top 4 probably. If it's January ,great.We won't be held to ransom though.

I agree mate we honestly can't afford to not pay it.

If we got a right back we should be OK (touch wood) and just pray Haaland doesn't get injured until the summer.

I guess that someone at the club realises that failure to plan for Rodri's injury has been a disaster. With that in mind and possibly missing out on top 4 not to mention an extended world club championship, it might be sensible to get some back up for Erling.

Apart from Delap, who I agree probably wouldn't want to return while having a decent season elsewhere, is there anyone out there who isn't the bloke from Sporting?

he wanted to go play, he was never staying this season imo regardless.

Before we had Haaland people scored from all over the place. We also controlled the game well allowing some protection of the back 4. Rodri and before him Dinho could play alongside 2 creative type midfielders.

Since Haaland arrived both of these norms are no longer the case. So as we are so reliant on 2 players for the whole thing to work, we should have back up for both.
