I’m not saying he is a super striker but I’m saying he would be better than what we have now and that is nothing at all. When you look at it we Man City who are one of the best teams in the world and probably one the richest but we one striker one defensive mid no left back and one right back in our squad I mean how are we supposed to go for titles and win cups with that squad over 70 games a season ? . When we did the domestic treble and were centurions our bench was the envy of all Europe as we had great cover for all positions and it was only left back we never had but our recruitment has been average at best apart from some gems such as Haaland and probably gvadiol and Alvarez who we sold . We are now in a position we’re not even 2 windows is gonna get us back to dominate if we ever do .

Agree with your sentiment, but Delap being here probably doesn’t change our need for needing a squad refresh.

Agree completely.

Not sure why we’ve been so complacent with transfers, I really hope it’s not because the club actually gives a shit what the red cartel and media say about us. If so that needs fucking off straight away and get some proper money spent to get back to the very top.

in his defence, he only gives the info he is sure of, which means that club hasn't decided on the name yet. although they already have a shortlist that being tossed everywhere recently, so the club weighing up them.
i reckon we will hear more names in the next days. at least, now we surely know that we are signing someone.
 
Delap wouldn't be having the season he's having if he didn't leave, it's debatable he'd even have played 45 minutes this season

If he has any sense he wouldn't come back, he needs to play competitive football week in week out for the next few years, not wait for a Haaland injury or playing in dead rubbers and domestic cup early rounds
 
Guardiola evidently doesn’t trust Nunes for the holding roll in midfield (strength/press resistance?, no idea), but given Grealish’s lengthening injury record, he probably fears that playing him in the middle would just add further to his problems.

In all seriousness we need a goal scorer that can play with Haaland and also might be seeing the end of KDB at City (personally I hope not) but if so frees up money.

Imagine the piss boiling if happened.

Id take him definitely but whole point is brighton want game time for him he wouldnt get any more with us than he currently does
