They just need that bit of confidence and they'll climb out of this pit. Couple of early goals second half will do nicely.

Started well but faded a bit and they grew into the game. Still we created quite a few chances and got a bit unlucky with their keeper making saves, hitting the post and some good defensive blocks.

We didn't give too much away except when Akanji (as he has a tendency to do at times) went rushing forward after the ball leaving big gaps behind him. He really needs to be a bit more disciplined in holding the defensive line and plugging any gaps.

Gundogan is the big worry. Had a decent shot that was well blocked but other than that he's been caught in possession and given the ball away a fair few times. He isn't really contributing much defensively or in attack at present and really doesn't look at the required level. It's a shame as he can be such a wonderful player. Maybe Nunes and Bernardo holding with Savinho or KDB coming on.

Anyway, we are the better team and if we can take a few more of our chances 2nd half, we should go on to win this.

Fuck me, surprised Pearce hasn't sat in the dugout must feel right at home! Get your fucking horse out you fucking weapon.

Not the most convincing of halves, but any lead is good given our rough trot. Come on City this is a must win for us.

Really poor.

So much has been said about us having many players in decline which is right, but doesn't explain how much of the same group can go from a performance of absolute dominance against Real Madrid in May to this shite tonight.

The loss of Rodri is another factor but again doesn't justify this drop of intensity.
