Having watched them tonight they look very strong. Energy, pace, directness everywhere. Plenty of goal scorers in the team.

I never back against us but they’ll be too good for us on our current form and with so many injured or unfit as coming back from injury.

Going to be a painful day.

Size, strength and speed in all areas of the field!

Gakpo comes on for Nunez, who ran Madrid’s defence ragged, and scores a cracking (albeit free) header to put an exclamation point on their domination on the ground and through the channels!

Not sure 3-2-5 is going to cut it!

I’d play a 4-5-1 with wingers playing a more defensive role than they’re used to, but being available as an outlet.

No idea who will or will not be fit, but…

Ortega

Akanji
Stones
Dias
Ake
(Walker & then Gvardiol, if 1 or 2 not fit)

Bernardo
KDB
Gundo
Foden
Grealish
(Keep Nunes & Lewis & Wright available)

Haaland
(Pray he isn’t pocketed! Early balls in behind)

I wouldn’t try to high press them, but I would hold at their center circle and make them work to get into our half, collapsing in as needed, if they break a line.

Tell Ortega he’s wearing a 12 yard leash, unless he’s 110% CERTAIN he can get to the ball first!

Tell the defenders that “Safety First” is the order of the day and that beautiful & intricate passing has a time and place, but Sunday at Anfield isn’t it!

cant believe I'm saying this but we may be better off playing for a draw.

I can agree with most of that for Sunday, but, Nunez running Madrid ragged tonight?
You watched a different game to me my friend.
He's dogshit and I definitely hope he plays.

Having watched them tonight they look very strong. Energy, pace, directness everywhere. Plenty of goal scorers in the team.

I never back against us but they’ll be too good for us on our current form and with so many injured or unfit as coming back from injury.

Going to be a painful day.
Their team couldn’t be better suited for ripping us apart with the energy and dynamism they have. Imagine Gundogan and Lewis trying to chase after them, whilst our defence is playing a high line in their half. Recipe for disaster. I’m expecting 4 goals conceded at an absolute minimum, a best case scenario.

Their energy and pace has given us problems at the best of times in recent years.

Could be a cricket score unless we get our act together in the next few days and figure out a way to stop leaking goals

Can’t believe they’re still over evens at home against us with our form & horrific record at that shithole

I was at Anfield in August 1969 - we were leading 2-1 with minutes to play. Needlessly conceded a corner - they equalised from it and then Roger Hunt (change the first surname letter if you want) scored their third. I was with my workmate - a Liverpool fan who admitted they fluked it.
I was at that match. My last visit to Anfield. I recall Ian Bowyer scoring late on to put City 2-1 ahead after an earlier own goal. Two goals for Liverpool in the last seven minutes from St John and Hunt won the match.

My aim would to keep it down to 3-0 with a line up of:

Ortega Ederson
Walker Akanji Dias Ake Guardiol
Silva Lewis Nunes Gundo Grealish
Foden Stones
Haaland.

subs :
The Tea Lady
The coach driver
the Physio
Pep
Could have "Bunny" on your bench as a back-up striker.

Ederson
Walker Stones Dias Ake Guardiol
Savinho Foden Silva Gundog
Haaland.
A spirited 2-2 or a record thrashing
