Has anybody?

His first game in charge of City was the line up above. By his second season - when we won the league with 100 points, Caballero, Clichy, Kolarov, Sagna, Nolito were all gone. Since then, we've seen Kompany, Aguero, Yaya Toure, Leroy Sane, Sterling and Gabriel Jesus - who were all key players as we created English football history (peak performance) - leave and then won the treble (peak performance).
Fergie?

When did Fergie change his entire squad in one go?

You didn’t do it in season 19/20. You fell too far behind and left yourself with too much work to do to catch up

No that was the year we didn’t do it but there’s far more examples of us doing it.

You gave a lecture to the Arsenal fan before so here’s yours. You are in great form but we are less than a third of the way through the season. No one can see a team losing when they are in good form but you’ll drop points & we will go on a run & if we get it to 5pts with 6 games to go & you draw….. well it’s 1 game then.

It astounds me the confidence of Dipper fans after the amount of time we chased you down in 2014, 2019, 2022, & yet you can never see it happening. Obviously that’s just the times we’ve chased you down, we’ve chased Arsenal & the Rags when you had your sabbatical every few years.

To those inclined to engage with new gobshite @tunnel01, perhaps look back on how this conversation will inevitably end up before too long............. with the mods required to bin the c...

Gregory Peccary anybody ?
It’ll disappear when its shitstain club is no longer top of the pile, they only appear when they’re top, makes them feel superior.

He has a habit of improving players over time so don't write them off just yet. On this subject you seem to keep shifting the argument, it seems to me that you want to believe he can't do it. I think we've exhausted the discussion on it now regardless.
Of course Id prefer if he couldn’t as it would be better for my teams title chances. Whether he can or not time will tell

We are in great form and we will have a dip. However if we build enough of a lead that dip won’t matter because we’ll be too far in front and you won’t be able to catch us.

It’s happened before so there is every possibility it could happen again. That’s not just me saying this for what it’s worth. Plenty of your fellow city supporters have been saying the same thing the only difference is that my profile says I support Liverpool.

Pep came in and changed over half the team then one season later, produced the best ever English champions. So his second season was peak and then 8 years later, with only 2 players remaining, was peak. You can use baconface as an example but I'm not sure the point you're making. You'll just keep moving the goal posts until you believe your point has been proved. Why don't you fuck off from this forum? Nobody wants you here.

There’s no doubt he arrived at a squad full of players at his disposal talented enough to win a premier league title though.

That’s not a dig because you still have to get the job done in the toughest league in the world but it wouldn’t say a huge rebuild was required either.

Fck me you really are showing how little you know.

He took over the oldest squad in the league that played 442 & finished 15 pts behind Leicester.

We were then told he wouldn’t be able to do it in the premier league. They laughed at his sweeper keepers & refusal to coach tackling.

That 4th placed team had multiple premier league title winning players including world class players such as Aguero, Silva, Toure & Kompany

24 months later the league table looked like this, if that's not squad rebuilding I don't know what the fuk is?

What’s your problem mate? I have been nothing but respectful to your club while I have been on here. I can see why there are so few opposition fans on this forum. People like yourself make it a completely inhospitable environment. Can’t even have a genuine discussion because your exaggerated tribalism won’t allow it.
I knew it was my 26,000th post and considering a decent amount of them were made telling visiting Liverpool fans to fuck off, thought it would be fitting.

There's plenty of opposition fans on here. Sunderland, West Ham, Celtic, Rangers, Everton, loads of German fans, and that's off the top of my head. The difference is that they don't spend their time trying to prove pointless, wrong opinions about our manager so don't usually get fucked off.

I said to you before that the mere presence of an opposing fan will cause contention. As for inhospitable, I take it your not a member of RAWK? That place is so inhospitable that the Mods lock threads to stop their own fans commenting! Their not even allowed a live match thread!

And if he successfully does that he will unquestionably be the greatest manager the premier league has ever seen. That’s one thing Fergie holds over him in my opinion.

Pardon me, but it's still another dumb take.

How far should a 'rebuild' go for it be considered a 'rebuild'? When was the last true 'rebuild' from anyone, based upon that metric?

Also, why would you purposely 'rebuild' when a team is fit for purpose? I can use your team in that example. Whiskey Nose built a team and kept the baseline of that team for years, no different to what Guardiola has done.

And Whiskey Nose stole from other youth teams around the nation (not just building from local lads who were fans of the team) to get that 'rebuild' setting the precedence we know today.

He took over a team in decline that barely finished above Southampton and finished on the same points as a struggling United side.

The full backs were all in their mid 30’s and struggled to run back and we badly missed a winger on the left. Even during the centurion season he had to play Fabian Delph as a left back.

But none of those were his signings?
Ooops, the goalposts seem to have moved again!

Has he rebuilt a team? That's what you asked, now it appears to be "has he rebuilt HIS team", but once he does that you'll have some other slightly tweaked question.

Not a truly great team until you've won the Premier League, errrr, ok then, not a great team until you've won a double, errrrr, ok then, not a great team until you've won it back to back, errrrr, ok then, not a great team until you've won the Champions league ...etc...etc...etc ad infinitum

Stop listening, believing and regurgitating the shit that SKY propaganda merchants like Spit feed you.
