Don’t worry.Brighton went second due to head to head.
City have a game in hand away at Liverpool to gain a point or three. Or alternatively to lose and bugger up the goal difference?

The rat probably died after eating dodgy burgers from the food outlets? Is this true a rat under the seat at the last match ?
Most people I know who moan about ticket prices are the same ones who will then happily go out and blow 150 quid on a pair of trainers, or 100 quid on a night down the pub, or pay sky 120 quid a month to watch rag and dipper ex players slate city.
Let's put this into perspective, if you were putting on a show or a concert and had to spend £100m's on sourcing and paying those starring in the show, would you then only charge the audience £20-30 to watch it? I suspect not. Most big music concerts cost way more than an average ticket at city and yet people pay for, and go to those without much complaint.
Life is about priorities, one of my priorities is my beloved club, so if I need to make some financial sacrifices to watch them, so be it.
It riles me that our fans are moaning at our club about this. In terms of return on investment, we are the best rewarded fans on the planet in the last decade or so.
City are simply a product of the foundations laid by the red cartel, other historically greedy clubs, the PL, UEFA and FIFA. They created a system where to be successful you have to generate lots and lots of revenue. Our owners have added as much as they can, but got branded cheats for doing so. The only way to remain successful is to generate as much income from everywhere possible, including match day sales.
Protesting against the club just doesn't seem right. Yes, protest against the PL or other governing bodies, but why blame our own club for something much bigger than them.
The irony is, many of those who do go and spend their money on a game (and then complain about it) sit there in silence and don't support the club anyway, then blame the atmosphere on tourist fans.
The club don't need any of this shit right now, they have battles on and off the pitch to fight, without their own fans turning on them.
Season ticket prices are excellent value for money. In our treble season, I added up the top attendances of each football club in Greater Manchester:
Wigan 15,429
Bolton 18,356
Stockport 10,011
Salford 3,924
Rochdale 3,648
Oldham 9,496
Altrincham 3,169
Curzon Ashton 508
FC United 1,852
Radcliffe 843
Hyde 962
Ashton 510
Stalybridge 421
Atherton 426
Ramsbottom 584
Mossley 478
Trafford 373
Avro 300
Bury 4,044
= 75,334
City = 53,490
United = 73,711
Nobody is telling me that there are more fans of all the other clubs than there are City or United fans across the conurbation. Therefore, something is wrong. Even with worldwide attendees, neither club can even beat the smaller Gtr Mcr clubs combined? Nah, not having it me. That’s about ticket prices.
Both teams should have much bigger stadiums than they currently do just from local fans alone. Never mind the fans from further afield. The fact they don’t tells you something is wrong.
City could sell out the upcoming expanded 62k stadium to local fans alone if they did it right. We used to get 32k in the third tier, we would easily smash 62k. Yet we struggle to sell out £53k if there are two home games in the same week at the moment. That tells you a great deal. That’s about ticket prices.
In a ten day spell, it’s £175 for a single adult for normal (ie non-hospitality) tickets for the Spurs Feyenoord and Forest games combined, never mind how much it would be for families. No wonder Feyenoord didn’t sell out. That’s about ticket prices.
An estimated 10,000 season ticket holders have fallen away from the City support during the club’s greatest ever era and one of the greatest eras that any English football clubs has ever seen?! Nah, not having it me. That’s not right. That’s about ticket prices.
I know about two dozen people who fall into that category and with pretty much all of them it’s down to the price rises and for those where it’s not it’s about the poor accessibility of travel to the stadium.
The frustrating thing is, ticket money isn’t even that much towards revenue. Certainly not when it comes to £50 price rises to season cards, which comes to less than £2m a season. We could just sign our next player for £76m instead of £72m and give every season ticket holder a fucking £50 discount as goodwill towards making us bear the brunt of the shit from other fans, journalists and social media about the 115 charges while the club stay silent! But nah, ‘rinse rinse and rinse these cunts who call themselves supporters’ must be written on the wall in the boardroom.
We won’t be getting relegated but if we did then then who knows who’s would turn up in the Championship. As wel as “glory hunters”, absentees could well include people who currently find midweek games too inconvenient. It's going to be interesting next season, if, and that's a big if, City lose the 115 hearing.
City could be or will will be relegated to the Championship.
Let's see how our (new) support holds up. And what price season tickets and match day tickets will be to fill an expanded 61,000+ seater stadium at some point into next season.
The club has a lot of thinking to do about season ticket and match day ticket prices up to the hearing verdict, and preseason ticket sales.
Are the club still going to still surcharge £150 for a Flexi-Gold 'Championship' season ticket?(for the new North stand)

Impossible to get two seats together now as my 86 years old dad who doesn’t speak well after a stroke wont sit alone.
Bought two in Legends recently @£600 but couldn’t travel as I was ill and live 150 miles away.
Contacted City. Not interested.Told us to try selling them privately which I did for £150.
I’m actually all for a little relegation adventure, it could be a laugh.
But IF this does happen and the club don’t reduce season ticket prices they can get fucked, I’m off on principle.
I doubt our new fans will fancy watching City v Plymouth Argyle on a Friday night. We won’t be getting relegated but if we did then then who knows who’s would turn up in the Championship. It’s for individuals and families to decide what’s affordable, in tue context of their circumstances. There's far too much football
A poster mentioned people are happy to pay 150quid on trainers or 100quid in the pub or 100quid on gigs.
Big difference if I spend 100quid on gig tickets ( can't remember how much liam galllagher ).
It was a one off and more importantly I was with my lad.
Same if I go in the pub I am with my mates.
To travel 600 miles round trip to be stuck in traffic or slow moving traffic for miles. Every fucking motorway has road works or night closures at the weekend.
Some many cars have fucking headlights that blind you.
You get up at 6am back by midnight if your lucky.
You pay 70quid for your ticket.
You go through all that and you can't sit next to your lad. You are sat with people you don't know or tourist who aren't City fans.
We have done this journey for decades, its been great father and son times. The highlight was the villa game coming back to win the league.
Something my lad and me will always remember, the hug we gave each other after the 3rd goal was magical. Something we won't normally do but by fuck we did than.
I have a lovely big picture of us at the end on our wall at home.
Sadly it now seems this isn't possible anymore because we can't get two seats next to each other.
Football is about memory's and moments with friends and family. If I can't get that now there's no point going.
They will adapt or leave.I doubt our new fans will fancy watching City v Plymouth Argyle on a Friday night.
They will adapt or leave.
The chances are we will still be playing against Liverpool, Arsenal and the rags next season.
The easy way to solve this would be to sell all season tickets next to each other and create a happy clappers section. There are often individual seats in between blocks of two or three. Obviously this would highlight day trippers when they aren’t there but put them up high 3rd tier of Colin bell where the cameras don’t go, charge them a fortune if they want as well! Not being able to get two seats together is a big issue.
Never use to be, as a few have said, no point going if you can't be with your family.
Someone mentioned joining OSC, I'm in my local one and we have had only single seats this season.
All the glory hunters would be goneIt's going to be interesting next season, if, and that's a big if, City lose the 115 hearing.

Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle, please. Get it right.I doubt our new fans will fancy watching City v Plymouth Argyle on a Friday night.
