Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

Some kamikazie defending and losing needless balls in midfield. Only surprise was we didn't get a battering. Our midfield has no pace and was easily overun. First 20 mins we were miles off them. Wasn't expecting anything at Anfield so move onto Forest midweek and see if we can get a confidence boosting win.

Absolutely, we can’t wait for rodders, they have to go big in January

The dominate figure Rodri is, much like the big sides of yesteryear losing the general, we have no choice, we are gonna get bummed on prices but without surgery we may struggle to even compete for what is the basics

Worse the our usually standards I agree.

Pep always says football is about the players. We won because of the players and now we are losing because of the players.

Need better players.
 
From what I saw in the first half it was still the confidence lacking, shit scared performance but towards the end of the first and during the second half we started to control the game. I know we lost but honestly, who expected us to win? I’m surprised it was only 2! Mid week I was having nightmares of an 8-0!
Despite the loss, I saw some sign of the old fight in that second half.
I’ll never give up on this club but it seems 1 or 2 already have.
I have said it before, if you can’t support us during our bad times, don’t bother showing your face during the good times. I have no time for people like that.
I think the top brass and Pep have proved their worth for us time and time again so I will stick by them no matter what.

we are between a rock and a hard place right now, this squad needs ruthless cleaning and someone to lay the whip on them, i doubt pep is the right guy to do it because he is very attached to this guys and theres no room for sentimentality at this level but we will see
 
The worrying thing is, we only want to see some people put in a fight.....there was nothing.
 
Thought we were ok after 30 minutes, all things considered. But stupid fucking mistakes by senior players who even if their legs have gone should know better cost us just as we were building a slither of momentum.

That midfield won't win anything. God love them. Too soon for Rico, too much for Gundo and Bernie. No pace, no power, not a lot of fight, and worse can't keep hold of the ball.

We have the best pure striker in the world and we aren't making any chances for him (and he's missing the crumbs he gets).

Another bad day for Foden. There's half a dozen players with question marks over them. Are they fit? Are they happy?

Chin up, blues. We are in a big old scrap for top four. Those players have given us everything and it's one too many seasons for them, and we have nothing to be embarrassed about. Perhaps we should have cleared a few more out in the summer, but it's easier said than done.

Pep will be back. I fucking know it.

We would be bottom half without Haaland's goals this season.

And let's not say we would play differently without him and others would make up the goals when it's become clear the likes of Gundo and Bernado are shot, Phil is way off it, Kev is crocked etc..

It was only Haaland scoring and a couple of defenders chipping in that got us points
 
No where near as bad as the vast majority of us imagined. The first 20 mins they made us look silly but we held on and second half we looked improved. Yet again bad mistakes cost us as I think if Walker and Dias don’t shit the bed it stays 1-0 to the end.

This was not as bad as Spurs at home last week, and take the derby out of the equation we not have some winnable games coming up the next few weeks.

Maybe it’s because I didn’t expect us to get anything but to be honest I’m not that bothered by this defeat. I was more pissed off after Spurs/Feyenoord. We will get back to winning before the year is out.

The second half was better, but the major difference is the intensity. Look at them harassing our back 4 in the 94th minute. We didn’t do it at all.

I agree but we aren't going to sign anyone of note until the summer. At least there are small signs of the old mentality.
