Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

We lack physicality in midfield. Gundo, Lewis, Bernie and Foden lack pace and strength. Kevin has injury problems, Kovacic as well.

We need to make the top 4. That's the objective for this season. Doubt we can go deep in the CL.

Rodri should be back in May. With 1-2 signings in January and Rodri, we have a chance in the club WC.

Even a technically brilliant player like Bernie couldn't link the play like Rodri. Most important City player in the PL years.

At least it wasn't 4 or 5.

Forest and Palace are no gimmes either.

If we don't win any of the next 3 league games the club must be starting to question the managerial position. Surely.???

No title pressure on us now for the time being, we are out of it barring a freak run of fortunate results between now and the new year.

We absolutely have to beat Forest. No ifs or buts. If we don't I genuinely don't know where the season goes.

My fear is the pace they have, we are picked off by one ball every single time at the moment.

Needs a good atmosphere on weds, forget what's gone the last few weeks and start again. They will be well up for it, we need to be.

A DM and a RB is a must for Jan.

Focus on ourselves. 75 points to play for.

Can't wait for the bell ends to say we are not in a crisis and it is ok because we used to be shit. We are fucking awful and our points tally flatters us. Outside of the top 4, spineless performances and our manager repeating the same mistakes. Shambolic.
Well this bellend will take the bait.

If you think this is a crisis, you ain't been around very long sunshine.

Deary me.

Worse the our usually standards I agree.

Pep always says football is about the players. We won because of the players and now we are losing because of the players.

Need better players.
We have allowed standard to drop and doing so when at the top of the tree, inexcusable, we did the same when Mancini was here.

Our squad the last 2 seasons has been allowed to get weaker and weaker, again, inexcusable for an elite club

I actually thought they played better and showed some fight. Need more of that performance. Winning at anfield was always going to be tough.

Kyle seems to be finished at the level we need. A liability all too often through slack play or having a belief that he can pass checks his body is no longer capable of delivering on.

Rico not the answer there either but perhaps more so because of the demands Pep places on him in terms of inverting.

If we could get 3 other defenders fit/in-form it would allow us to put Akanji there. Nunes could have the attributes but I’m put off by the fact he’s got the heart of a mouse and is a terrible tackler.

As you say that was a battling performance but we need the Kev’s, the Jack’s the Johnny Boulder’s in that team for 90 and it looks unlikely at present.
RB is virtually a top priority, been saying it for weeks. Kyle been great but times up, Rico will never be one.

A decent effort by the lads, some poor moments but a lot of effort.

A couple of comments...

Gakpo was 2 yards offside in the build up to their first goal and ended up directly involved. How come that wasn't reviewed?

The dive for the penalty was embarrassing. Dropped his foot down onto Ortega's midriff to create contact that wasn't there. Again, should be driven out of the game.

The fact that Dias and Walker shot ourselves in the leadup doesn't change how much of a dive it was.

We've put better performances than that on at Klanfield and lost heavily so I expected nothing anyway.

Finally... I fucking hate the scousers... booing us in possession is pathetic. The referee was poor. every tackle we made was a fould, and those feral cunts were all over us with impunity.
