Savinho has been dreadful for the last 2 months.
Foden has been dreadful since May...
Savinho has been dreadful for the last 2 months.
At right back he doesSomehow Rico will make it in again and he doesn't deserve to be.
We have no current form
But right now, who do you put in place of Gundo? The reason why he's being trotted out all the time is because he's the only one that can remotely fill the role. Unless you want to try O'Reilly or McAtee at the back but that wouldn't work in my opinion. Nunes has the build but he's not a CDM. Like another poster above wrote, lets try Gundo-Foden and Grealish in the middle with Doku-Savinho as wingers and Haaland up front. Let's see what happens.Nonsense. It offers more than Bernardo, Rico and Gundo who Pep has persisted with for most of our defeats.
The whole team has to be fair mate. Right now it's a case of picking who hasn't been as poor as the next player.Savinho has been dreadful for the last 2 months.
We have no current form on the wing either I'm afraid, listening to five live on the way home they threw a few stats that had everyone in shock including myself. I can't remember the exact names but generally it was this on our recent runI'm not talking about the team, but about the best option on the right wing.

Points nil worst in the league
Goals scored, with the exception of haaland in the team picked for the scousers, this season nil
Xg worst in the league
Chances given away 2nd worst in the league
On and on it went with us being tte worst or second worst of all the premier league teams. We haven't slumped we have fallen off a cliff.
We cannot really pick a team based on form because we don't have any, pretty much no.one has done well. The only thing you can say is the 2nd half looked better but how much was down to Liverpool tiring or taking it easy who knows.
The one thing we do need is energy. Like I put previously i woukd play Silva Gvardiol savio nunes grealish doku and haaland.
Not because they have had great seasons but because they can at least get round the pitch.
Peps not really gone thru this before let's see how he deals with it.
No, he sucks there too.At right back he does
We need a 3 goal lead to introduce O' Reilly. I do agree with you.It has been a tough few weeks but we will turn this around. The players are clearly tired after a fantastic 4years with the pressure clearly on. It has to come down somewhere and the signs are there of a very tired squad, injuries mean players have to play longer without rest leading to more injuries. You see it on the pitch; giving the ball away with poor passing, players unable to track back quick enough when the play turns, hence the ‘easy’ goals we conceded. The signs are all there. Look at our back line, all been injured this season and some/all still not match fit. It will come back to us hopefully on Wednesday.
Incidentally, O’Reilly played a similar role to Rodri in the EDS, everything used to go through him; it would be interesting to see him come on at some stage to see what he could do but it is a problem, at present, finding a time to slot him in.
I love this team. I could just be that Wright is the answer to our problems until January. Who knows? If fit enough for 60-70 mins:
……………………….Ederson
…………………Dias………..Ake
…….…Akanji……Wright……Gvardiol
………….KDB……………….Foden
Doku…………..Haaland….…..Grealish
Nothing to be concerned about at all. Start panicking when it appears ;-)My mobile ticket is not currently showing. Should I be concerned?
I’d say anything but a win means we’re in deepFeels like a huge game this. Defeat against Liverpool was inevitable, but this will give us a much better idea of where we’re heading. A win will stop the rot and hopefully serve as a catalyst for the rest of the season. Another defeat means we’re in deep shit. A lot riding on it.
We simply have to win it, anything else and the alarm bells will be ringing that bit moreFeels like a huge game this.
