We need a big 6'4+ CB.. Van Dijk coulda had hattrick vs us with better heading. He'd been lucky to get on end of one when we had Vinny. We miss that.

We need someone who can take a corner/set piece. The amount we get is frightening and it's a huge issue with how shit they are.

I watch Kev hit a pass on the run 60yrds cross field onto the toe of Fodens boot but he can't get the ball past the first man on a corner kick. Blows my mind.

Interestingly. Chiellini stated recently that we were close to signing him in 2010/2011 under Mancini but had to pull out because of 'financial issues' which surprised me.

I’d certainly settle for that right now.
I also genuinely hope that we also sign a right back. With us not having a left back and relying on what we have now, it is a problem. A good right back and commanding midfielder would be a huge improvement.

Agree. A midfielder (or two) would be nice but a versatile defender would also be welcome.

Just hope those in charge aren't thinking that the current squad will suddenly regain fitness and form and all will be right. That's the kind of whimsy that led to the current situation.

True, but we need players that are both. Buying players that are not technically 'top-drawer' has seen us fall back into the pack.

I don’t think the club think that at all and had reasons for trying to hang on until next summer, but I’m fairly sure they would rather wait for the right players in the summer when it’s easier to move players out as well, if needs be. They will do what they can in January, I just think they will be limited by whats possible though.
