He isn't moving in the box very well at all. It's ridiculous when his scoring record is so good but in this system where it's intricate play from out wide he just stands still if the ball doesn't come to his feet. Can't/shouldn't get away with it tbh.

Really good assist tonight though at least!

Honestly pretty good. Great forward play for the Doku goal and Josko through ball. With Doku on the pitch, he needs to hit the near post harder when Doku beats his man.

He’s a proper soft shite for a big man. Needs to start pulling folks about and stop with the nice guy crap. I’m convinced there’s a player in there…….

There was a couple of times tonight where it looks like it’s on a plate if he makes the run. I would cut him some slack because Doku doesn’t always get the ball in. It can’t be easy for a striker to read what Doku is going to do.

Can't understand why he didn't adapt to Doku's playing style, Aguero would score many goals from him

Yeah, I agree. Doku isn't a timing player. With all the jukes, feints and shimmys, he'll beat his man when he beats his man. Something like this can only improve with more time together on the pitch. However, there is opportunity there. I'm sure the video analysts and the analytic dept at the club will point this out. Something to watch out for, I guess.

Probably just takes time to develop the on-field chemistry/synergy. Doku is unpredictable so not the easiest job adapting when there is limited tendency data. Hopefully should improve with more on pitch time together.

I liked his build up play tonight, great pass for Gvardiol in the first half, deservedly got an assist in the second half, not arsed that he doesn't score if he contributes like this.

He's not trying and timing it wrong, he's just waiting for a KDB-like ball at the far post. They've been playing and training together for more than one season, doubt it will come with more time

I wish he would make more near post runs ala Aguero, he'd be on the end of many more crosses.

If he played for United I can imagine what we'd be saying about tonights performance. He carried very little threat at all.

Unless he scores goals, there's not much from him and that is a real puzzle for Pep. He doesn't tend to score 'decisive' goals but kind of gets goals in patches.

Best game for a while tonight. Was much more involved and active and him occasionally dropping in to take the ball really opens up both sides of the pitch for us. He then has the pace to get forward to be the target man in the box. Keep at that and it’ll come again.

Still not happy that he won’t attack the ball at the front post, but I’m sure he’ll develop that part of his game.

I’ve been critical of him because he has been a passenger in too many games in my opinion, but credit where it’s due, he played his part tonight and that assist for Doku was excellent.

The problem is Doku has no idea what he's going to do himself most of the time!

Been crying out for Pep to use him like that. If he’s not scoring, he needs to be allowed to affect the game in other ways. And that involves dropping into the space, turning and passing.

His passing is very underrated and his technique means he gets them off quickly before defenders can nail him. Happened a few times but specifically with Gvardiol and the Doku goal.
