Say we buy a rodders backup , once rodders is back he will never play again because rodders is our main man and we have players that can make a fist of it for the odd games

Do that for every player currently injured then we end up with a bloated squad that pep has to keep involved somehow and we go above the number we are allowed anyway

Our squad is big enough , pep knows what he is doing and i think you are over reacting

We have won four titles in a row , we are due an off season
And then we'd be Chelsea, with 3 players for every position!

Rico will have to play left back if akanji’s out

He's been trusted to play there before and several times for England, so this feels a realistic shout. Hopefully being taken out of the starting line up v Forest and a bit of a rest will have done him some good. He isn't the only one who would have benefited from some rotation but needs must and they've given their all.

Agree he was probably our best/most consistent player in the early games of the season.

He's fell foul of being a bit of a jack of all trades and being overplayed with our injuries.

Ortega
Walker
Dias
Gvardiol
Lewis
Gundogan
De Bruyne
Bernardo
Grealish
Doku
Haaland

Not an ideal back four going into this game, We looked much better with Walker and Lewis out of the side on Wednesday.

I'd rather see walker at cb than rb because it's painful when he gets it on the right wing.

Def is weak especially with Stones, Ake and Manu out. Everyone will need to work super hard in pressing and getting back if we want to win.

Going with a 2-1 win with a shit ton of nervy moments.

Disagree. Has to be Gvardiol and Dias as the CBs. S-P isn't ready for this. Palace have some dangerous players up front, and we'll need experienced heads out there.

They've scored 12 goals in 14 games which is the 2nd worst in the division.

Yes, let's just get the win. A back 3 would be another alternative, not sure we've the correct personnel to drop back and help out though.

Back-to-back wins and you might just hear feint murmurs of 'oh hang on maybe we went too early on City's demise'.

I am really looking forward to tomorrow, something quite alluring about our Jekyll and Hyde act at the moment.

Yeah, but it's us they're playing, innit?

;-)

They looked shite against Ipswich so yeah...could turn it on when we rock up.

Ultimately, with Juve, Rags and Villa to play we're better off giving SP minutes in this game and keeping the general shape otherwise than mixing things up further. Hopefully Stones and Akanji are both back soon, even if Ake isn't. Three tough games that have the potential to really define our season.

Win at Palace without injuries first step!

Ortega
Walker, Dias, Gvardiol
Gundogan, Nunes
Bernardo, De Bruyne, Grealish, Doku
Haaland

Should be enough. Hopefully. Weather will make it tough.
