Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

It looks no different EB but it should be loaded electronically onto your seasoncard. When you scan it, it should apply the £10 credit automatically.
Thank you.
Just had another thought though, it's terrible having (half) a brain at times!!! Somebody else used my card for Forest, making sure the seat was occupied, would they have been able to use my discount? Life can get complicated for FOC (funny old codgers) like me at times. :-) :-)

Unless they physically used your ST they wouldn’t be able to use your credit (I assume you transferred the ticket).

Thank you. Yes I transferred it through the usual procedures. I see what you mean, they would have to have my phone to use my discount. Aha, you see @Buckshaw Blue what a young brain like yours understands. I'm reasonably ok with technology but some of it baffles me. Thanks again. :-)

The queues were ridiculous and people were late getting back to their seats because they were spending their free £10 at the food and drink counters.
I do wonder whether we will even get the tenner in ESL3. There is no room on the concourse already ; we don't even have anything on the TVs to keep the numbers down. So the idea of thousands of fans with a tenner descending on the concourse (I am assuming its use it or lose it) will be something the safety people would not countenance.

Well you've got until the end of February 2025 to use it. Unless it is different dates for different areas. :-)

Yep, I agree with that pal. I also think it won't be just us with empty seats. Football is eating itself with utter greed.

Spot on pal. They pander to the half and half / social media types who video themselves and parts of the game - wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes in the Kippax before getting a bottle of flat lucozade over them.

You get why the club do it, they’ll spend more on tat in the club shop in one game than I’ll spend in a season. If it means a few empty seats they won’t care as the merchandise will more than make up for it.

could be worse, you could support Trafford Scaffolders, and be faced with a flat rate minimum £66 per match day ticket (including match day, & season tickets for a match given back to club), whether you are an adult, kid or OAP, for the rest of the season...and probably beyond. Scruffy squeezing the pips already.

IIRC it's also the same minimum price for League cup, FA cup and Thursday night cup.

There's a lot of rumbling in the Caf, about sacking it off, especially with parent+kid(s), as the price has more than doubled to take themselves to the odd game. There's also an acknowledgement that the Scaffold isn't selling out (who knew?!? lol) and this money grabbing is going to accelerate that trend, as well as further deteriorating the atmosphere which has been crap (and I approx quote) for 'the past decade, and really back to 2008 if we are honest'.

tickety tock.

edit: remembered another comment. Something about the members ticket queue (ie 1st refusal I guess) being in the few 1,000's, rather than the many 10,000's

51'700 on Wednesday, around 2'000 empty seats. It's going to be fun when the extra 8k get added. If the club don't sort this out ASAP and listen to the supporters. Otherwise we really will be rudiculed like never before.
That will be 2000 unsold tickets. There will have been more empty seats. I couldn't go on Wednesday and listed my seat on the exchange. It didn't sell but that seat would have been included in the attendance figure.

I don't have NFC on my phone, can I still use the electronic voucher ?
The email specifically mentions that if I enter the stadium by QR code,I won't be able to use the voucher.
I go into the ground at entrance X&Y, and my phone is scanned by a steward with a hand held scanner.
Any help would be appreciated please.

That's a good point.

I do have NFC on my phone but it never works for some reason getting into the ground so I've taken to just shoving my phone in the hole with the barcode showing.

Once inside someone behind the bar has to 'blip' me as my NFC isn't turned on to get my normal SC discount.

Might be a faff getting in against the rags if as I believe we are getting the credit in SS3 then.

That's a bit extreme. Can't you just keep it in your pocket?

Ok pal, thanks for getting back to me.
I'll try it out at one of the bars in the next couple of weeks.

I’m hearing that United have been given 8,800 tickets for Arsenal at £90 a pop.

Surely that’s not right, is it?

I doubt it very much, the 8.800 sounds correct but no way could they charge £90 for a ticket behind the goal. Even Arsenal aren't that stupid.
