He won 4 leagues in a row and a treble. To me, short of relegating us he’s unsackable
It's probably not the right time to mention acl injuries are often known as 2 year injuries. We are fucked then aren't we because Rodri isn't back for 6 months and Stones and Ake can barely manage 3 games on the bounce without being out for 6 weeks
Stop thinkingHas Pep now regretted extending his contract and now praying for the sack because if he wasn’t Pep that’s what would be happening ?
Just a thought.
Whisper it, but we’ve been in decline since winning the treble. We could easily have been three down against Brentford before we scored.
Actually since the FA cup final we’ve been poor.
This all stems from a tiny active core of players in the squad and a monumental run of injuries. The thing for me is that these are not bad defenders at all and have been decent in the last 12 months.
However, in the last 2 months both players look like 12 year olds making basic mistakes and having no idea how to defend. I genuinely cannot believe that both players - and Lewis as well - have suddenly become dreadful, it's a tactics thing.
Rodri is out for the season and is irreplaceable. We have to try other formations to get the defence working again like playing a 4-6-0 again and getting some energy in the middle.
He's always been better at the pass out than the shots stoppingHe's either brilliant or poor. He didn't have much to do tonight and didn't do anything to suggest he should be in goal for the Derby. He needs to remember that every keeper in the league now plays with their feet and they can save shots as well.
we are at the moment mate we cant deny it but if we get two good signings in jan it could turn things roundWe are fucked then aren't we because Rodri isn't back for 6 months and Stones and Ake can barely manage 3 games on the bounce without being out for 6 weeks
Who would when the team's achieving that? It's only the last 2 months that the recruitment seems bad.
Was anyone really questioning the club during 4 titles wins in a row?
I'm pretty sure Pep plans his subs at the beginning of the month for all the upcoming games. They rarely make any sense or have any impact. We could be 3 up or 3 down and they feel like they would be the sameThe subs were hilarious, Savio and Nunes are shite.
Doku was the only dangerous player we had.
Not really but thanks.Anyone want to talk about KDB's performance or lack there of?
He'd be fine if he played in a midfield with other players that could runHis failure to be able to run is HUGE problem....he aint covering any ground and he is also losing possession every game
Pep and the players look resigned to defeatAwful and boring to watch. No real urgency until we went behind but even that only lasted 10 mins or so.
I dont know why we are not putting Nico O'reilly in midfield he's 6ft 3, he's got to be a better option than lewis from a physical point of view

The thing was we picked up points at the beginning of the season pretty well but in truth there was some alarming performances even then and we scraped results without the performance to match. Then once the injuries came we totally collapsed. The tactics have been the same from Pep.This crisis now, this is Manchester city !! Not ipswich town. Winning 1 game out of 10 is more than a bad run or form, thats way beyond it. What makes it even more odd is we started the season pretty well and then totally collapsed.
Unless Saudi offer mega money he is staying and with legs around him he can continue to contributeI think you will find he is the elephant in the room that people dont wantto confront......
Yes there are big problems defensively and in DM BUT KDB is massively on the wain....he has zero running power anymore and is spending most of his time joggng around and hanging deeper trying to find space which is acceptable if he has other parts ot his game...he used to. he doesnt know
OK aint good engouh
I misread it as you wanting a back four of Akanji, Stones, Gvardiol and Ake.Somewhere at centre half...Stones will never be that fit for long enough or AKE
then as ive said...he is done and we need to stop relying on himGot manage his fitness carefully.
Their goals both came from him giving the ball away.Kev was fine. He was part of our better attacking moves throughout the game.
