He won 4 leagues in a row and a treble. To me, short of relegating us he’s unsackable

He's made mistakes (hate the way he hangs around to make subs) but there is literally no manager on earth I'd rather have in charge for getting us through this crisis — if it is a crisis (and by recent standards, of course, which we set and nobody else could live with, I suppose it is). If he doesn't get us through it this season, he'll be back, and the team will be back and through it (with two or three judicious recruitments) next season.

We could easily have been three down against Brentford before we scored.

Actually since the FA cup final we’ve been poor.
Whisper it, but we’ve been in decline since winning the treble.
Getting over the line to win a fourth title in a row was a phenomenal achievement. But there was an obvious drop off in the quality of our performances last season, and it’s continued this.

The thing for me is that these are not bad defenders at all and have been decent in the last 12 months.

However, in the last 2 months both players look like 12 year olds making basic mistakes and having no idea how to defend. I genuinely cannot believe that both players - and Lewis as well - have suddenly become dreadful, it's a tactics thing.

Rodri is out for the season and is irreplaceable. We have to try other formations to get the defence working again like playing a 4-6-0 again and getting some energy in the middle.
This all stems from a tiny active core of players in the squad and a monumental run of injuries.

He's either brilliant or poor. He didn't have much to do tonight and didn't do anything to suggest he should be in goal for the Derby. He needs to remember that every keeper in the league now plays with their feet and they can save shots as well.
He's always been better at the pass out than the shots stopping

I dont know why we are not putting Nico O'reilly in midfield he's 6ft 3, he's got to be a better option than lewis from a physical point of view

If Pep thought that O'Reilly was a better option then he would play him.

He has no probem with dropping players, Ederson has just found that out.

Lewis is only playing because Rodri (the worlds best midfielder) is out for the season, Stones (who would also be in midfield) is missing as he can't keep fit, plus Ake and Akanji are out too.

It's only the last 2 months that the recruitment seems bad.

Was anyone really questioning the club during 4 titles wins in a row?

No, but the signs were there. Gundo too slow, KDB past his best and injury prone, Walker erratic, Bernardo worn out, Rodri complaining about too many games...

Joke performance in the FA Cup final.

Poor recruitment in the summer, failure to get targets, offloading the wrong players.

We've been poor all season, not just the last couple of months. Without Haaland, we'd be relegation fodder.

The past is in the past... It's a shitshow now.

This crisis now, this is Manchester city !! Not ipswich town. Winning 1 game out of 10 is more than a bad run or form, thats way beyond it. What makes it even more odd is we started the season pretty well and then totally collapsed.
The thing was we picked up points at the beginning of the season pretty well but in truth there was some alarming performances even then and we scraped results without the performance to match. Then once the injuries came we totally collapsed. The tactics have been the same from Pep.

A few seasons ago Pep made a couple of tactical changes in successive CL years which left fans mystified and as result we looked bad and went out. Pep needs to come up with a radical change now to his tactics to get us out of this mess, the whole current situation is calling this out, loud and BOLD. At present he doesn’t want to change. He can stick to his tactics once we get everyone fit and get some new players, but right now we need to change things up to get results. If we have to play deep, long balls or have less possession so be it, just try a plan b.

I think you will find he is the elephant in the room that people dont wantto confront......

Yes there are big problems defensively and in DM BUT KDB is massively on the wain....he has zero running power anymore and is spending most of his time joggng around and hanging deeper trying to find space which is acceptable if he has other parts ot his game...he used to. he doesnt know

OK aint good engouh
Unless Saudi offer mega money he is staying and with legs around him he can continue to contribute

Got manage his fitness carefully.
then as ive said...he is done and we need to stop relying on him

a team looking for the top cannt afford passengers or sentiment.....and this is what is driving the narrative around KDB at the moment.

Legend yes
Best midfielder to play in the prem - posssibly yes (id argue David Silva would be up there)

But time to move on...we wait another seasons its the mistake akin to bringing Gundo back or giving Walker another season......
