Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Of course you expect Pep to walk if we lost our next match.

The flapping and over-reaction on here is predictable.

Is 'flapping' your new favourite word?

Pep's fucked up this season being risk averse and sticking with favourites who aren't meeting expectations. He knows it.

It would be beyond embarrassing for him to lose to the rags. It should be unacceptable to every City fan.

At times we are though, as Gundo said, it's when we give the ball away we're seemingly punished every time.

Add to that, we need a someone to score goals. Teams are shutting down Erling and we just lack finishing.
Well Gundo et Al....how about pressing and tackling instead of shuffling backwards giving the attacker thinking time and time for his mates to arrive

But it was always going to catch up. Anyone with a brain could see what would happen with a few injuries, absolutely 0 mitigations in place. We needed a right back, a rodri replacement and a back up striker in the summer, everyone knew that yet we decided not too.

The club couldn't foresee a season ending injury to Rodri nor a bad injury to Bobb.

Coupled with KDB being out of most of the season so far, plus the same for Foden.

We've also been missing most of our defenders.

It's not the price you pay for winning 4 on the trot.

We brought Gundogan back this summer because the club are fucking useless in the market. Whether that be penny pinching or their inability to buy any quality player without a release clause.

You can't use injuries especially to Stones and Ake as excuses. They are always injured. In nearly 10 years how many times has Stones played more than 40 games a season?

How can we have won 4 in a row if we are fucking useless in the transfer market?

and you and those like you have turned on the team and players after two bad months...
It's not about turning on the team, it's discussing what's happening as it happens. That's what a forum is for.

If things are wrong we can say it, the players know, Pep knows and so do we. It doesn't mean we aren't mightily happy with what we have achieved.

The problem is you think saying the team is currently poor is disloyal. That's your bad. Just open an appreciation thread and leave discussing the actual football to others who aren't as touchy.

Thought we were better side tonight created some decent chances we didn't put away, alas our defending at the moment ain't to good compounded by midfield aging badly.

What can be said that hasn’t been already said a million times over this season? I genuinely don’t know what to say. It’s just awful all around.

When are we going to have an honest discussion about Pep?

He’s been as abysmal as the players this season, if not worse. Yes, we have had many injuries, but even with those injuries, there’s no excuse for our current position in the UCL table. No one knows what they’re doing when we press. It takes one pass to bypass everyone. PSG will rip this defense apart with all their pace and quality. We’re in serious danger of not progressing. Although, given our league position, maybe that wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

What is the honest discussion that you want to have? Everyone knows we've been shite. Most people agree our transfer window was very poor. Most people agree that injuries are making things even more shite.

I'm just not sure what more discussion there is you want to have about Pep? Are you seriously suggesting binning him after 4 titles in a row, our only ever champions league trophy because we're having the audacity to have a shite (by our standards) season?

Whatever happened to credit in the bank? Whatever happened to supporting people who have done so well for us?

If we're not showing any signs of improvement by this time next year, then it might be worth discussing. Until then, ride it out.

When we got these fixtures we were all sure we would hit 20 points minimum. I don’t think we will even get 14. We can’t blame injuries either, half the team just aren’t bothered about the results any more.
1000% spot on. All one has to do is watch the slow, lazy reactions by some in our end when we are under even the least bit of pressure. It's so obvious. I wouldn't tolerate a U12 team defending in that manner...just sayin'...

But you should expect that it could happen and be prepared, but at all costs do not, I repeat do not play rico and gundo together FFS
