Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Juventus celebrating like they had taken a massive scalp when they had just beaten the most out-of-form team in all of the 5 biggest leagues in Europe

My words and thoughts too. I am constantly screaming at the TV when I watch the matches- too effing slow is like a refrain on repeat! My lads are getting used to it....
Quite right. We have game changers in Doku, Kevin and Erling and need to get the ball to them much quicker. By the time Doku gets it there are 2 or 3 around him.

The last five goals we've conceded in the CL could be played with the Benny Hill theme tune as the backdrop. Absolutely stunning levels of shit defending on every single one of them.

We will scrape through in last few places with a win against Brugge I think, hopefully with some reinforcements in January.

Watched the replay and one thing stands out is how little involvement Doku had when we did not progress ball to the final Third.

I don't know if it is the tactic plan or Josko did not want to pass down to the line or whatever but we see Bernado on the opposite side got involved much much more during the build up. We see the same with Grealish and Nunes.

Right now we have difficulty to get Haaland involved. We cannot have another player not involved in the build up.

Would like to see what if Savio plays the same position. Right now it looks like Doku only has some sort of combination plays with Kev and no connection with all the other midfielders or defenders and no signs of any progress.

The Saudi Three, Mahrez, Laporte and Cancelo would all improve us atm, such is our injury prone, out of form paper-thin squad
Mahrez is a much bigger miss then people acknowledge. His control, experience, guile and technique helped us massively - would def improve this squad...and Laporte if he could keep fit!..Cancello what a player - but as many say ..'misery always finds a friend' probably bring half the squad down with him!

Mahrez is 10 times the player Doku or Savio currently are. Doku will hopefully come good and Savio needs a goal or 2 to boost his confidence
As you say. He actually made things happen on a regular basis. I was gutted when he left but we had great service out of the lad. Best 1st touch in football for me.

To be fair though he was the Premier League player of the season the year before we signed him. Doku and Savinho were basically punts. Other than Haaland it’s been a while since we signed a really ready made top quality player.

Alvarez has been a huge loss. Doing really well over in Spain. Ok, his first touch wasn't great but we miss his energy, pressing and something really important like GOALS!

Madness not replacing him.
Even Ferran Torres is had an excellent cameo off the CL bench

Shit loads of empty seats all over the ground at Juve v Venezia tonight.

City are obviously a big pull now.(onnthe CL)

Venezia currently winning 1-2 as well, if only we had managed that, only about 5 mins left.
