Been saying this for ages. Think he’d make a mint wing back.

This is a joke, right? I've been defending him on here against many — the guy's got quite a lot of skill, more than he's given credit for. But physical, he ain't! He will just get bullied, as much as Rico, I think. I've barely seen him go into a fifty-fifty tackle and come out with the ball. In fact, I don't think I have.
I want, once more, to see wing backs who are both fast and able to mix it, i.e. Walker in his prime, Gael Clichy too. And what we thought Mendy was going to be (and indeed what he looked like, briefly, before it was all fucked up by his injury, and his general gormlessness). We don't appear to have them at present. But if we don't, we need to get them. Because we're getting done in that part of the field, big time.

Isn’t there a stat somewhere of him making the most tackles for Wolves and/or Sporting?

Is there? I'd love to see it. In any case, I go on the evidence of my eyes. And I repeat — as an attacking player, I don't think he's at all as bad as some on here are saying.
he made a great tackle v wolves in the dying embers of the match, we broke away as a result of it, won a corner, and stones nodded in the winner.

I'm not convince at the idea of him at full-back may I add, just thought I'd throw that piece of play in there.

Akanji, Ake and Stones unavailable? Lewis suspended.
Looks like a back 3.

Walker Dias Gvardiol
Nunes Gundog Kovacic Bernardo
Foden KdB
Erling

Goalkeeper anyone's guess

We haven't beaten Arse or Liverpool in the last 3 meetings each, didn't win either leg of the Real game...that's no wins in 8 games against those clubs...all the great wins you mention were prior to start of last season....and we are worse now than then unfortunately
I agree AlexMCity does seem a tad delusional. Past is past. It serves no purpose today or in the future.

This is daft. Because every club out there would love to appoint Pep precisely because of his past achievements. The past doesn't guarantee success in the future but is the best predictor of what is likely to happen. The most likely outcome is that City will regain form under Pep and he will win other big trophies with us, this or next season.

Class is permanent, etc.

The best thing for City is form goes out of the window in derbies and the fans hopefully get right behind the team

I just got this feeling Pep may have a brain fart at left-back with Lewis out ? I would not ask a first-team player to cover the role, I would 100% throw the youth team/EDS left back in and give him a chance.

I am not the biggest fan of Derby Day and am glad when it's over whatever the result, City fans are more down to earth with a win, unlike the scum over the road who will be right on it waiting for you to get in your face giving the billy big bollocks.

Somebody said to me today, it can not get any worse at the moment can it, I said WHAT, its fucking derby weekend mate and them scum over the road will be at it giving it large if they win, it would fuck Christmas and New Year up for me because of the family parties, Funny enough, I have not seen many of them over the last 5 years, But bet your life if we lose the derby Uncle Knobhead and My Aunt Fanny will be first in the doors

Not sure if anyone else has posted this here already but searched Kinkladze on the thread, he was on talkshite talking about his time here and that he's looking forward to the derby, here's a couple clips I saw on Twitter/X but there might be more clips of it out there but don't actively seek out talkshite...

That’s a valid point Alex. But the last 10 games show a different scenario to what we have been used to. I think we are all in shock at the huge fall off in current form. Most of us on here are very loyal fans, who have tasted success and failure for many years. We love our club no matter what. And as true fans we shouldn’t fall out over where we are now.
We should respect each others opinions, good or bad and rally round the club showing respect to everyone associated by there support.
