How the f have we lost that?

I don’t know but the good news is they are still rubbish and their new manager only seems to get this kind of luck against us.

We will be back.. eventually. It’s just a perfect storm of madness. The club is well run where as theirs is not. I think that is as good as it gets for them for a long time.

It's gallows humour for old timers like us.

We've got our club back...

On current form it'll be back to hoping for 40 PTS by the end of April.

Doesn’t matter if Nunes did okay for 86 minutes you’re not good enough if you do what he did
How responsible was he for picking the team? Or for our lack of fucking bollocks in the first 10 minutes. Or for the fucking pathetic 2 players in the box corner just before the goal. We need to fucking grow a pair. And the manager has us sucking the fucking balls in. There was no coordinated press because he's insistent on playing his best friend and clearly fucking past it gundo in midfield. There was no fucking bollocks in the first 10 minutes. This is the worst united team in 37 years. Literally the worst. They are garbage. And we had nothing. Fucking nothing. The whole team and imparticular the manager should be fucking ashamed of themselves.

any other big club yes..problem i see is Pep signing a big fat 2 year contract - he kept saying immediately after signing it ''sack me if i'm not good enough'' seems like he has had an eye on walking away and playing golf in NYC with another huge severance pay - obviously Im exaggerating but it was a bit grating to hear him talk like that after extending his contract
Has he ever had a "huge severance pay" - I don't believe he has?????
That's a totally toxic take on him signing on again.
Is he getting things wrong currently - 100% - doesn't mean he can't work it out. Needs to be more galvanised though and take more risks with younger players

Clueless , embarrassing one of the worst performances in a derby I've seen for a long time , a lot of this squad needs to go , what's this world class academy we've got ? About time some are given a chance

Said the other week that the Feyenoord result felt like the worst one of the lot because of the manner of it. This one feels 10x worse- losing to THEM, playing that badly, and in that manner. And it wasn’t even terrible reffing or something controversial - it was utterly self-inflicted. AGAIN.

Does Gundogan have a twin brother who isn’t a footballer? We appear to have signed him by mistake. Lost count of the number of times play just passed him by in midfield, especially first half. He looked 3 or 4 seconds off the pace every time.

Feel sorry for Nunes actually. He’s not good enough but that’s not the point. Nobody steps out in to a pitch to do that and cost their team a win in the 87th minute of a game. Up to that point he hadn’t done much, but had he done much really wrong apart from one hospital pass in the first half that put them through?

Though Dias and Gvardiol actually looked relatively solid until the capitulation late on.

De Bruyne was alarmingly bad. Bread and butter passes to him never coming off, free kicks nearly hitting the opposite corner flag, devoid of any inspiration or quality. What’s happened to him?

We are going to lose Ortega if he doesn’t get a run soon. Ederson is costing us goals, and points. Ortega deserves a run.

Absolutely gutting and not sure what Pep does from here. Gallows humour is usually the solution to this sort of result but it’s difficult to find any right now. We’re in Phil Neal levels of form.

Cheers City. After thirty five years of suffering abysmal shit shows like that almost every week I thought they were over for good. Sadly they have returned with a vengeance. That display ranks amongst some of the worst seen in our dark days at Maine Road. Gutless, spineless, half hearted from some players and the usual calamity of mistakes to cost us. Shocking doesn't do it justice.
We need four more wins to be safe, that's if we don't get a points deduction. I'm being deadly serious, can anybody see where those four wins are coming from on this form???
If I was a betting man I'd lump a few bob on Salford City beating us, we really are that bad. I have no idea how Pep.sorts this and judging by recent results neither does he.
Wait for 75 mins when were a few goals up to lump on Salford. Odds will be much better then

An xg of .91 tells all you need to know. Our attacking play is non-existent
Never seen a team full of players who cannot do basics in the final third. Doku put in 1 decent cross that Haaland was so surprised a ball landed in the 6 yard box and not the edge of the area, was no where near it. Doku/Grealish/Savinho just not good enough for a starting 11 place as wingers. Haaland seems to have given up as we never find him and most games now it’s like playing with 10 and that’s on Peps tactics as it is on Haaland.
Then a sever lack of goals from midfield and our set pieces are beyond a joke. Even the one we scored from today was messed up initially.
Pep has to look at his assistant, coaches all across the club as seems none of them are earning their money.

Another disgraceful performance, a new low against the worst rag side in decades. 1 win in 11. People still think we are just a few players back from injury and a DM in January that will be Rodris backup away from being contenders again? We need to ship out at least 4-5 players and bring in 6-8 quality ones, sooner rather than later. Unbelievably poor decisions on the transfer markets over 2 years has turned a treble winning squad into a side that struggles against any opponent. Our management has done some brilliant business over the years but this just shows how fast a team can self destruct when you get too comfortable. The saying "pride comes before a fall" feels like a fitting description of how we managed our transfer business recently. We have just let elite player after elite player leave, not replacing them at all or replacing them with players waaaaaaay below their level thinking Pep will just turn any mediocre player into world class after two or three training sessions. Our major goal on the transfer markets seems to be winning the imaginary net spend trophy instead of improving the squad. If we keep replacing elite players with mediocre ones, sooner or later the team will be mediocre and now it is.

Pep obviously has some blame in this, but Pep is not a grind out results kind of manager. He has is philosophy and when it works we're the best, but when it doesnt work he wont change. As long as we have a world class squad thats no problem. But when we have a bunch of older players thats past their best, struggling to even play once every other week (not to mention twice a week), several injury prone players and a bunch of players that simply cant believe their luck even getting a contract in a club like City, all in the smallest squad in the league.. Then Peps style is a part of the problem. But I would rather replace every single one of these players before I turn on the best manager on the planet. Our goal is to be the best and if the squad is good enough Pep will make us the best.

The squad is simply not good enough. The worrying signs is that I keep reading stuff like "City are not worried, as soon as they get a few players back from injury and perhaps a new signing they are confident the team will be back at their best". We would currently struggle against a Sunday league pub team as long as they know how to park the bus and boot it long on their fastest player. How anyone can think we are just a few players back from injury and another "backup" DM signing away from competing again is mind-blowing.

Have a word ffs you really think that the mantle will pass to the back of 60 seconds of madness ...........City are poor at the MOMENT these lot are fucking poor fullstop
That may be true

But the rags are prime example of how a once dominant team can become poor through poor decisions, transfers etc.

We should take heed and start rebuilding our rickety squad and do it right.

Something is going on, more than injuries or form.
Is it as simple as Pep losing the dressing room ?
No one seems to give a shit anymore, fucking well weird
I agree , no chance in CL plus no chance of top 4 = no chance of attracting top players - we’re done

I’m not a Pep out, but maybe he needs to change his backroom team, we look stale. Not sure what Juanma Lillo brings but a different voice and someone with other ideas to push Pep maybe what we need to kick start us

The fact Gundogan is getting so much shit isn’t Gundo’s fault. It’s on the manager.

One or two players fuck up it’s on them. An entire team chronically fucks up it’s on the manager and the board.

cant keep going on about injuries - we have a pretty standard amount right now. 5 senior internationals on the bench. no more sentimentality at the end of the season - the 2017 old guard all need to be let go
