United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Feel we're in need of a dramatic action to change the psychology.

The treble season happened in part due to Cancelo being shown his own arse as he was kicked out the door.

Pep going doesn't make sense as we're losing in spite of him rather than because of him.

Would do away with Walker - (no captain going down with the ship - and thought he played ok today).

Consequences.

Spectacular collapse against the worst United team I can remember since, well, O'Farrell's lot. They were dire and somehow we contrived to gift them 3 points that even they could scarcely believe they'd get based on the first 85 minutes.
Nunes, Doku and Ederson with the errors in the goals but Haaland and De Bruyne stank the place out just as much.
At least the City accounts are in good health and profits are high.
Accounts are only good because we sold and didn’t buy that’s why the team is in the state it is Think the next few years accounts will reflect the state of the team

If you keep just dicking about with it on the half way line without ever looking like starting an attack you will never score. You are quite likely to concede.

I can’t believe what I’ve just watched.
Absolutely fucking appalling.
We’ve just handed the worst scum team I’ve ever seen 3 points.
They are dogshit but we are now worse.
Maybe someone can explain to me how a team full of treble winners, 4 in a row premier league champions and current premier league champions can be this mentally weak?
I don’t wanna hear anything about injuries.
That today had nothing to do with injuries but everything to do with our idiotic decision making.
Some of our decision making recently quite frankly baffles me.
The amount of stupid high risk passes we make is shameful considering the form we are in.
Cross field balls without looking that today come close to us being opened up like a can of worms.
Then a stupid back pass out of nothing and idiotic defending leads to an easy penalty.
As soon as that hit the back of the net you just knew we’d lost.
Mentally weak.
Which pretty much sums up their second.
I did think if we could players back from injury and scrape through to January we’d be ok
Not anymore.
We’ll more than likely be around 10th in a weeks time, cos let’s face we ain’t beating Villa.
Right now I genuinely can’t see us beating anyone, including the other Salford shite.
There’s no excuse for what we’re seeing on the pitch at the minute.
Where’s the fight?
Where’s the pride?
Where’s the organisation?
The way we strolled out for that second half, late you could see it coming.
The scum looked focused and ready to fight for a win.
While we strolled out with our heads down and looking disinterested.
For a derby, A FUCKING DERBY!!
I’ve seen more fight in a tin of sardines.
Yep I’m fucking furious at what I’ve just payed to watch.

My daughters team is the same u10s, Keepers aren't allowed kick the ball out of their hands and also not allowed kick long from a goal kick.

The ball always has to be played to either full back from a goal kick and keep playing around the back until an option becomes available.

To be honest they are a really good team, Funnily enough the teams that cause them problems are the ones who go long and panic sets in with the players they really find it difficult in those situations.
Youve just said it. It suits “really good teams”. Trouble is with the theory is … what if you arent a really good team ? What if the kids just arent capable? What if its easier for them and suits the players to go long? Is that bad ?
I coach my lads team and its nice to watch them pass it about, probs low/mid level. But every now and then hoof the thing :)

we digress.

If that's not typical City I don't know what is.
This one hurts. It’s the first time I’ve felt a proper wrench in the stomach in this run of form. I can’t stand that lot, but they were so bad it was painful and yet we still imploded. That should have been 3 points and move on but you could see we were going to blow it the moment the pen was given away.

Eddie was never saving the pen and I’m not sure Nunes has looked up since the mistake, his body language felt like it took the team with him.

We need to advance the recruitment drive from whatever was planned for the summer if the board feel Pep has it in him. The recruitment also needs to be a lot more inspiring than it has been for a while.

Feels like in the summer we need a proper sit down and a look at the future of this team and learn from the mistakes that have lead to this. We really should be re-assessing our use of the academy, the level that is now starring for other teams in the league is overwhelming and instead of sales and net profit we perhaps should be looking at loans and then integrating into the first team.
The reason it hurts me is because I can't see Pep repairing the damage that's been done. I hope he doesn't walk after all those magnificent years but I think he will.

Has Foden been caught shagging pep’s daughter or something I do believe something is troubling him he’s a shadow of his former self
Inexplicably they all do mate.Even my hero the great man couldn’t find his passes today.

Pep cant evolve without the players....
No he can’t evolve but his football can with a change of tactics, bin the high line, play on the counter, do something different to stop the rot of conceding 2 goals every game. That 2nd half isn’t worth speaking about, pointless passing and turgid.

Wish Khaldoon was doing a Christmas message.
