TV Series

The final episode of Wolf Hall - the Mirror and the Light was broadcast tonight. The entire series is probably the finest thing the BBC has done since ...ever.
Beautifully acted, written, directed and filmed with towering performances from Mark Rylance and Damien Lewis. The perfect adaptation of Hilary Mantel's masterpiece of a trilogy.

I couldn't watch this series, the book left me emotionally scarred and angry! Lol

Mantel was a superb writer, it felt like you were there.

The books are wonderful but so is the series. Best thing on TV for years. It does the books justice and Rylance brings Cromwell alive in as good as a performance as I have seen in any tv series.

I've just been watching 'Skeleton Crew'.

I gave it a massive swerve because it was aimed at kids.

However, I gave it a look because I was bored and was pleasantly surprised how much of an 80s vibe it has through its main body. Moments of Spielberg-esque direction along with 'Goonies' type adventure and it pulled me in to the first episode!

Think I'll watch the other two that's out now...
It's been getting surprisingly positive reviews from the modern star wars is bad crew on YouTube. I gave up on the acolyte and barely made it through Obi Wan.

Slogged my way through season 2 of the old man. Pretty dull to be honest.

Black Doves on Netflix was decent. The main plot was confused and its hard to feel sympathy for Knightly's character as a spy for hire and someone cheating on her husband who seems thoroughly decent. Tonally it is a bit all over the place and the central relationship between Wishaw and Knightly is under developed - the bond between them is never quite nailed. Ben Wishaw is pretty good and the scenes with him and the other female assassins are quite fun.

Sarah Lancashire is doing a bad Dame Judi Dench as M impression.

Anyone ever seen a miniseries called The English Game? About the early days of the amateur fa Cup.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, I do love a good period piece

Are you watching it?

It's like it wants for nothing and the kids are, actually, really watchable!

Takes me back to my youth when sci-fi TV was fun.
I'm not currently. I'll probably wait until its all out and watch over Christmas. I wasn't going to watch until it started getting decent reviews
