I don't think wage wise it would be smart to have 5 CBs when you also have Gvardiol who can step in.

I don't think for the good of the team it's smart to have onky 4 centre halves when 2 are regularly injured and the other 2 are quire prone to injuries too.

You didn't read all that was said. I said one of ake or stones needs to go and be replaced and the other would be the reserve or 4th/5th option with gvardiol. I don't think Stones staying and being a 5th option with gvardiol potentially making him the 6th option is worthwhile of any potential budget issues.

I agree that stones should be moved on in summer and replaced with someone more reliable. May struggle though as I believe he is on a good whack.
I'd have doyle as 5th choice with the plan to move on either ake or akanji the summer after so doyle can be one of the main 4.

I think we do and I think it would make a lot more sense. Younger, plays the style we do, from the academy, hes a city fan and he’s cost about 40m less.

If we’re going for that type of defender then THB makes so much more sense. I don’t think Guehi will improve that much either.
