I've honestly no ida what you will make of Skeleton Crew but I am really enjoying it. Definitely has that Goonies in space vibe, plus nods to Spielberg.

Caught the first three episodes now and despite a couple of annoyances (totally wizard and why can't episode lengths stay consistent?) I have to say it's pretty decent. Probably the best Disney Star War Series (although I haven't seen Andor). Won't change your life but is certainly watchable and doesn't feel like a slog like some of the other series

Just finished Ted Lasso.

Daft as fuck but thoroughly enjoyed it. Very likeable characters, funny, and a nice “warming” quality to it.

Would recommend if you want something “easy” to watch.

Give shrinking a watch if you want something else. Got the same writer as Ted lasso ( the guy who plays Roy kent) has that similar easy to watch vibes but imo is significantly better, Harrison Ford is good in it.

Season two of Silo is a bit of a slow burn compared to the first series isn’t it.

Extremely slow. Been waiting for the episodes to pile up but I was dog sitting last weekend, had access to it and not much else to do so binged what's currently available from season 2. half a season down and there's been practically nothing happen. I'm still intrigued but its just too slow for a 10 episode season and then we wait 2 years for the next. It would have been okay if it was an old school 22 episode season but in the new standard 10 episode format you've got to move quicker. It's reminding me of the walking dead around about season 3-4 before i dropped off where an entire season of that would pass with nothing of any significance happening until the last 10 minutes of the last episode each season. Hope it picks up.

just finished "100 Years of Solitude" on Netflix. Overall I thought it was very good. The first episode was a bit of a slog because I didn't really like the main character. But then it became very colourful and interesting. I'd imagine the book is great but I doubt I'd ever get around to readining it so just glad to have gotten a flavour of it from these 8 episodes.

Not seen that yet, but looking forward to it. Love Billy Bob Thornton, always re watch Bad Santa in the Christmas build up and he's just incredible in that role.

I was late to the party as well.

I watched all Dexter this year. Just easy watching fun tv with good characters.
It’s all pretty daft but it doesn’t take itself serious.

People slate the later series but by then you like all the characters so I enjoyed it all to the end.

Dexter and Justified are the best things I’ve watched this year. Both solid 8/10s.

The 10 part revamp series in 2021 though was really toss though.

Then you will love 'Dexter' coming back as a TV show with Michael C. Hall, then...

Squid game season 2 starts boxing day, I predict it will be absolutely shit. Show writer supposedly had no plans for a season 2 originally, It's here purely because it was too big not to have a follow up so I fully expect it to be really crap with perhaps a couple of interesting new games at best.

Just finished showtrial. Like others said it was OK until the final episode which was shite. Quite lame in the end.

I'm also missing watching Mirror and the Light. Won't watch it since they introduced race politics into it but my god I'm missing something good there. I'm reading the book instead.

Going to watch a few films next, we're (me and mrs) both a little bored of TV series at the moment, they're all a bit samey... so films, Timestalker, Conclave, then Heretic. Off to the film thread.

Yeah it was just a little thing, changing the colour of peoples skin, rewriting a cultural history. Its wrong, for me anyway. Changing african, chinese, anyones history, replacing historical african figures with white people is totally wrong. Equality is the way forward for me.

Nevermind though I missed out on a good series so my loss.
