His opinions he gives to the media are totally different to what he gives to the players.
He’s between a rock and a hard place at the minute in how he treats the players imo.
If he goes out and criticises the players to the media then there’s a chance they might stop playing for him.
They still are unlike what some believe.
From the outside though that’s exactly what it looks like it needs.
I thought we put some effort in today but unfortunately our lack of creativity and our stupid mistakes is costing us the 3 points we need to play our way out of this current shitshow.
We need fresh creative players and players with energy.
Echeverri and Bobb coming back would be a start and then getting a few more in the door in January, as well as a few out the door.

Let's face it every other manager in the prem would've been out on their arse if they'd been on our current run of form. If Pep isn't backed this January and our results don't pick up I think he'll walk at some point

I don’t think when we win it’s all down to pep. And normal person will say it’s the players. He might have an idea here and there sure. But it’s the players that are on the field and execute the game. Score the goals, make last ditch tackles, etc.. not pep.
 
Similar pattern to previous games. Lots of possession but of no real concern to the opposition to defend against. No tempo or urgency in our play.

The mobility of the midfield is a major concern and none of them look like scoring. Give O’Reilly an opportunity and see what he can do.
 
These squad players we have are fine to have when the spine of the team is there. ATM we don’t have a spine and all we’re seeing is average footballers throwing up some utter shite performances. This has been coming but the spine of the team drove the standards and saw us through. That’s completely gone now and what we’re seeing is what’s left

Not asking him to criticise the players.
Saying we played well is bollocks and fools no one.
 
I actually thought we did ok in the first half. We were a little more direct with our passing than we have been of late, Kovacic tried a few over the top balls to Haalaand some of which came off, some didn't. The movement was ok and for the most part we controlled the game.

The goal we conceded was poor, he had acres of space and eons of time in which to get his shot away.

The second half reverted to type, Savinho did well to get the penalty but it wasn't well taken by Haaland. I think even I could have saved it. After that we struggled and didn't really create anything. Thankfully Everton were as poor as us, they really should have made more of that 4 on 2 in the last few minutes.

As a team we just look shattered and devoid of inspiration and confidence. It's hard to see how we can improve, I don't think it is down to a lack of effort on the players part, it is just a step too far for many of them now. They have given us great service though.

I’m sure some stato will put me straight but this run has echoes of the start of 95-96 season, after a home draw on the first day of the season against Spuds, we then lost eight in a row followed by a draw against Leeds, then another defeat against the dips followed by our first win at home to Bolton.
