Atmosphere 2024/25

Our style of football does nothing to enhance the atmosphere. Take the derby for instance not a single crunching tackle, fans respond to it, get up off their arse and shout but instead its constant short 5 yard passes sideways, backwards and sideways. Maybe in days gone by when you're stood on the Kippax you might shout and sing when its dull but when you're sat down, surrounded by new faces every week and in a society where people feel more watched by cameras and stewards waiting for a hate word and surrounded by people ready to stick a phone at you and plaster you all over social media its all become very sterile and dumbed down. Who can blame people. I did wonder today if the 'feed the scousers' would be used as a weapon to beat us down with. Though not by Everton fans of course.

manager? who would you replace him with ha

Hate to break it to you but he’ll be replaced at some point. If you don’t think those types of discussions have taken place at boardroom level during our one win in 13 run, you are very naive. City are a multi-billion pound asset and are not run on emotions, this is cold hard business.

I noticed you didn't mention anyone as a potential replacement for Pep. standard
Given that our form over the last two months has been the division’s worst, I’d say the list is probably a lot longer than you clearly imagine.
I’m still hoping Pep can turn the ship around, but, at the moment, he’s looking increasingly like a man without a plan……

I bet they don't have anyone in mind to potentially replace Pep at present.

I'd never boo my own team but I understand why people do it. I just call them cunts and leave early.

Sure, we've got some entitled twats in the stands but we've been a relegation level team for months now. How else are the fans supposed to voice their frustrations and let the players know that these performances are unacceptable?

And I'm not for this "the fans need to support the players" shit. You'll get some support when you show some fucking desire.

It’s not my job to mention a replacement, frankly my football knowledge outside of city and some premier league sides is crap. For example, until Liverpool signed him I didn’t have a clue who Arne Slot was, and he’s got Liverpool absolutely flying. I’d suggest the list to replace Pep has more candidates on it than you or I are aware of.

you suggested a reset with manager and other areas, presumed you may know of someone.

We're all frustrated but after so much success there was always going to be a dip at some point.
If you’ve been charged the best part of 80, 90 quid for a home game against Everton, at the priciest time of the year, and then see such a dour performance you’re probably within your rights to boo. It’s noticeable that dips in success aren’t accompanied in dips in ticket prices - those just go up and up

The matchday prices are scandalous but I see it as a separate issue. At the moment the team needs our support and I don't see booing as helping anything, either the prices or performance on the pitch.

Booing at the end after another disaster class is fine, booing during the game when it gets really bad
