The most hated club in English football history?

Personally I don't think we are hated by proper fans of other clubs , but there is definitely a propaganda campaign with in the media in this country, that feed's bullshit to all the social media fuckwits and trolls, making seem we are the most hated club in the country !

Correct. In the real world, hardly anyone outside 2-3 clubs actually hates us. The rags and dippers comfortably take that title despite what the media would have you believe.

I think there are various factors that in a way have created a perfect storm,
Social media & modern ways of comunicating have created a platform where anyone can say anything with very little if any comeback,
The media in general are on there knees and looking for any story that will generate clicks and allow them to survive,
The most "popular" clubs ie Rags, Dippers, Tarquin supporters all seem to have this weird view that they are somehow entitled & deserve to be top of the table & win things & City have in the main stopped them doing so in the last number of years so we are public enemy number 1 as far as they are concerned,
The charges against us have focused all the factors mentioned & given people the ideal stick to hit us with & finally instead of playing wonderful football and winning all the time which in a way was the perfect answer to all the crap thrown at us we are now playing poorly and losing most weeks so its as I say created this perfect storm of shite coming our way.
 
Everyone "loved us" when we were the classroom clowns . Pat on the head and good entertainment . Mocked by that other team especially Manure of Traffordshire. Cityitis . Ha ha ha .

If you're younger than some of us here just make a note of the "Spursy" mocking and all the grief they get - same tactic different team . Other supporters of similar teams loved us as we took their mocking and made it our own with the most unique songs in the land ....no other club has the humour we have .

We live in a harsher more immediate media world now . Best not to take much notice . All propaganda needs heroes ( Red Cartel ) , plucky and momentary contenders ( currently Forest but interchangeable ) clowns ( us then , Spurs now) and villains ( us, us , Chelsea but rehabilitated , us us ,us ) . What you have in the media is pure propaganda. Ignore it .


We have literally been shitting all over the Emperor's and the King's and the Imperial Majesty's gardens for over a decade . We are having a year's sabbatical but happy to pile on more organic fertiliser any time soon . We are the best disruptors the Premier League have ever seen and have endured an orchestrated smear campaign for over a decade . Enjoy it Bring it on . We know what we are .
 
Just carry a box of tissues, and hand one out with the comforting phrase "ah, did we make you cry" every time someone has a whinge about us.
 
I don’t normally wear colours but when I’m away from home I’ll wear a t-shirt connected to us, the amount of people who want to engage to talk about city is very complimentary I’d say the very high end of genuine football intellects don’t have a problem at all with city high percentage of most ends with “ as long as it’s not the scousers or Utd keep doing with what you’re doing”.
Genuine lads and lasses couldn’t give a fook with the social media oxygen thieves regarding city.
Some paranoia from our own doesn’t help.

It's natural that everyone wants to see our downfall and knock us off our perch.

We've been unbelievable and people get tired of it.

But the empty seats, awful fan base, blah blah blah us very tiring from the media. No other fanbase is vilified by journalists and ex players like ours.
 
We are nowhere near as despised as the rags were in the late 90s early 00s.......and still are!

Exactly this. Everyone hated/hates United. They’re there to be hated. Whenever I’m away and talk football and who I support comes up, never have I had any kind of negative reaction. Apart from Liverpool and United fans, fans of other clubs love what we’ve done and, hopefully, will continue to do despite what the miserable posts on here woukd have you believe.

I’m not actually too sure where the OP is coming from with this post thread.
