Maybe but honestly that's just the going rate atm and to be truthful who gives a fuck anymore

We've been in profit for seasons and barely spent anything, don't need any if this sustainability nonsense when the squad need THIS big a rebuild

Kerkez is 21, he's the right age to spend the big bucks for

Again, I'd prefer Robinson but Kerkez has the better potential

No doubt we miss out and he goes to either United or Arsenal who I'm sure will both be interested

Agreed about NEEDING signings now mate. £200m needs dropping in January to be honest to start the rebuild assp

Only the club know that mate don’t they? Prices only going to be higher in the summer though and if the likes of ederson, Walker, de Bruyne, gundogan, stones etc are all leaving then new players will be needed early due to the world club cup in the states and a shorter pre season if we go all the way? Clubs know we are desperate anyway so either it’s release clause FC or over pay FC but our PSR numbers are the best around over the 3 year period so the rebuild really has to start in January?

They aren't, but some are even if we have to overpay a touch

Robinson at LB, Vanderson and Kayode are available for RB, Zubimendi has a release clause so they can't really stop us (like Laporte) for the middle

Attackers you're looking at out of form guys (becuase goals are so valuable for struggling teams) so maybe not a real option out there

We can't go for the big name like your Musiala, Wirtz, Kvaratskhelia etc. In there are options

It’s impossible to know the plan, but lets say the club have got their napkins out written some names on it incoming and outgoing and planned a squad to take us forward next season. They may well want to bring a couple forward in January but how far down the list or off the list on their napkins do they go before they say, no we need to wait until summer and stick to the longer term plan.
Take Zubimendi just for example.if he’s on the napkin and he says no to January I’ll talk in the summer how far long is the list of alternatives are they available or do we go off list?
I do think we’ll get a couple in January though.

Depends how hard we persuade them and their clubs, Zubimendi, Kimmich, Guimaraes, Rodrygo, Baena, Wirtz, Ederson, Robinson, Cunha, Kerkez.

Firstly persuade the player, do you want to play for the greatest coach of this generation, get paid top tier and win lots of trophies. Second either activate the release clause or pay the money for 2-3 this Jan because any of the above makes us stronger in positions we have to reinforce

We really needed Zubimendi to fancy it didn’t we? Would love to chance Kimmich is January as well to be honest. Baena looks a talent and I love Kerkez so options around defo!

No idea, I’m not one that watches much football outside City , and I haven’t the faintest ideas which players are gettable in January. I would guess we’ll try everything to get a CM and defender in January. Then work on replacing KDB , Walker, Gundogan maybe Ederson and Bernardo in the summer.

That's why we have a DOF and Pep to help as well to persuade these players that in addition to all the above positives joining City is the best career move they can make. Remind them that when players join us they very rarely think of it as a mistake and leave 12-24 months later so it must be worth it. We have Spanish, German, Slavic, Brazilian, Dutch, Belgium, Portugese that now regard the club their own in addition to the English

Forget Kerkez his family are all rag fans. He won’t come to us. One of the dippers journalists briefed that the rags have a head start on any other club for him.

Between Ake and Gvardiol we won't find anybody better for left back. however, if there's a left out there that's more attainable than a right back, we can have the option of either or both of those 2 playing primarily at centre back and we push akanji and potentially stones out to right back, either option would work.

I actually think the priority will be a mobile right footed centre back who will operate like the right sided Ake, that gives us the best amount of versatility between the group.
 
I don't know if I was a defender, I would want to come to us. The last really good defenders we had would be Zabba and Vinny, but that was in the days of Mancini when we could defend as a unit. Laporte, Cancello, Otamendi and even the current crop get slated for individual mistakes when the truth is they get left exposed by the way we play, for example that 4 against 2 late on yesterday.

Just rewatched the referee sprinting past Gundo, Foden and Rico when we were outnumbered 4 v 2 at the back. For all Walkers faults he usually gets back, even now his legs have gone and even if it is only time to take the blame. Lack of a DM to slow up counterattacks and players not busting a gut to track back is killing us. If the players don't have enough in the tank to defend as a team then maybe Pep needs to abandon his approach and play a different style for a while.
