It’s not so much a mental block, it’s lack of fitness and playing the same tactics that no longer work.

They do work though. How many games have we had fewer opportunities to score than the opposition in this run? Even getting beat 0-4 by Spurs the xG was similar and we had 23 shots to their 9. We should have been out of sight against Sporting and Brighton with multiple chances at 0-1 up in both games.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the tactics, the players just aren’t playing well or enacting those tactics well or finishing our chances.

Hoping we can show some bollocks and really give these a kicking. We played reasonably well against Everton for a spell in the first half, we just need to stop having 23 shots and only 3 on target, 2 of which are simply passed to the keeper.

Sadly, I’m worrying about a half fit 38 year old dusting all of our defenders and scoring 2.

It’s anyone’s guess though. I shall wait in anticipation.
